Fabulous flats

If the shoe fits – what could be more fitting than a pair of Gladiator flats? It’s seasons’ must have shoe, that’s flat-out gorgeous.

Wear them with a sun dress or a short pair of denim shorts for a super goddess look.  Metallic Gladiator sandals are big this season.  Not only are they the perfect summer shoes that go so magnificently with the season’s colours, but they are ideal items to pack in your holiday baggage.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but if you’re planning to spend a holiday at the beach – forge the heels and make sure you pack a few pairs of metallic flats.  You can wear them with your sexy bikini and a kaftan for a lazy day at the pool, or dress them up with a simple cocktail LBD for a low-key, night out.

Gladiator flats are worn by lots of Hollywood’s elite including Sienna Miller, who has embraced the whole grecian/ gladiator trend from head to toe – literally.  From her hair to her Mui Mui gladiator sandals.

Woolworths is launching a fabulous collection of summer gladiator sandals – and at under R100 a pair, you can afford to buy one in each style and colour – so go on, spoil yourself a little.  The Woolies range, as always,  offers a high quality range of shoes with comfort padding and hard wearing soles.  Furthermore, their range is made from top quality polyurethane (PC) as apposed to PVC – which is less toxic for our atmosphere and safer for the environment – so our Green Queen will approve.

(1) Silver Gladiator Flats R99.95, (2) Black Gladiator Flats R99.95, (3) Brown Gladiator Flats R99.95, (4) Silver Gladiator Flats 99.95All these shoes will be available at Woolworths stores from November and December 2008.

Some of these sandals are nice.

I saw some hideous flats in the latest issue of Glamour – silly butterfly pattern at an alarming rate. Why pay that much to look like an idiot?

I got a very nice pair at Luella. I don’t like wearing shoes with straps that tie around my ankle. (I know this sounds insane, but I feel like I’m being “strangled”). Also – it diminishes one of my best assets: long legs.
