Looking after the delicate skin around your eyes should be a priority in your daily skincare regime.  I recently tried out some fabulous products that make looking after your eyes simple, easy and effective…

1. Yardley Oatmeal Eye Fix Soothing Gel is great for reducing puffiness and dark circles around the eyes.  The gel formula and combination of cucumber extract and essential amino acids leaves your eyes feeling instantly refreshed.

2. Almay Eyewise Eye Rescue Mask helps to revive tired eyes.  This intense, hydration formulae is hypo-allergenic and fragrance free.  Use when necessary by applying mask to eye contour area and allowing it to work its magic for 10-15 minutes.  The result, bright, vibrant eyes.

3.  Almay Eyewise Intense Hydration cream works wonders to de-puff the eyes, while at the same time hydrating the delicate skin around your eyes.  The pump applicator allows you to get just enough eye cream on your fingertip.  Tap in gently around eye area until fully absorbed.

4.  Clinique Repairwear Intensive Eye Cream is a potent anti-aging cream made specifically to deal with wrinkles on the delicate skin of the eyes.

Eye Cream Tips

  • For best results use your eye cream twice a day, morning and evening after you have cleansed, toned, moisturised and applied your other treatment products.
  • The best time to start with a regular eye cream routine is in your early twenties.  Remember prevention is better than cure, and even a simple hydrating cream will help in the long run.
  • If an eye cream irritates your skin or causes redness,  discontinue using it immediately.  Remember the skin around your eye is very sensitive, so before buying a cream test it out and see how your skin reacts.
  • Some of you may have noticed your mom’s eye cream in the fridge and asked why? Well, although being kept in the fridge doesnt do much to the contents of the cream, it does however feel realy fresh and oh so good when you put it on.

Other products I haven’t treid but have been told are really good…

  1. Number one on my list of products to try is La Mer’s infamous Moisturising Gel Cream
  2. To reduce puffiness and dark circles try Garnier’s Caffeine eye roll on pen
  3. To brighten skin area, try Coverderm Maxydrat Yeux
