Beauty Review: MAC Style Black Collection

A little while ago I got to try a few products from the new MAC “STYLE BLACK” collection.  If you remember, I posted my experience with the really cool, black Volcanic Ash Thermal Mask, which is also part of this collection.  In today’s beauty scoop I’m raving about the equally cool makeup from this collection.

MAC has always been known for their innovative products, the kind you’d find in a makeup artists kit.  The great thing however,  is that MAC is available to everyone who loves makeup (like me).  The new Style Black Collection, which is available at all MAC locations from October 2009 (there is limited stock) is the ultimate, mysterious makeup for every wild child out there.  Included in the range you’ll find dramatic, black Cremesheen Lipstick or try the Mattene Lipstick in Night Violet or Midnight Media and remember to add sheen with the gorgeous range of bold GlimmerGlass from purple to sheer to true black.

For the eyes choose from one of the exciting Mineralize Eye Shadow shades that include specks of pearl shimmer.  I tried out the Glit by Association (pictured above) – a mineralize black with gold bronze pearl.  Add smoulder with the Eye Kohl pencil or my personal favourite (pictured above) the Penultimate Eye Liner, which is fabulous as it allows you to create perfect lines on your lids.

Then there is the Nail Laquers in dark, mysterious shades and the Greasepaint stick, which I myself am curious to try.  The collection also includes a specialised brush, the 214 short shader for perfect application.
