First things first. Let’s kick off this 11-week feature with the ultimate foundation brush, the M.A.C 190 Brush.
The M.A.C 190 brush is used for applying foundation and giving you that flawless finished face (just like the pro’s do it). Many cosmetic houses use this style brush, however I personally find the M.A.C 190 brush to be one of the best ones ever (and I have used a couple).

Robin says that because the brush is synthetic, no product will be absorbed by the brush. He also says that sponges absorb up to 30% of product during application. So, when you think of it, this brush can actually save you money in the long run as you’ll be using less product and still getting that flawless finished face. Bonus!
To get the prefect look Robin suggests “using the brush with longer, even strokes followed by a gentle pressing movement which will marry the product with the skin”. Personally, I also found that applying the foundation in light cris-cross movements with the 190 brush really gave my skin a nice finish. I particularly love using it with M.A.C StudioTech, cream foundation as it gives a flawless, polished look.

This is a great brush, I also like their 187 Duo Fibre Brush for foundation application. I also started using their Tinted Moisturiser and it’s a real winner!!
