For younger looking skin, Estee Lauder offers Futurist Age-Resisting Makeup, designed to give aged skin a youthful, luminous glow. Although my skin is not exactly “aged” (or at least I hope not at 28), the product made my skin look good.
The pump action bottle is really handy and not a drop goes to waste. I also got to use my fab, new Estee Lauder Foundation Brush, which feels great and gives the foundation a nice finish.
Overall, Futurist felt extremely light and gave my skin a great, youthful glow – although I usually prefer a more matte finish. The only problem I found with Futurist was after a couple of hours wear, I found myself topping up with “Old Faithful” – my Double Wear powder foundation that I had in my bag.
I tried it out for a few days and while it looked and felt great at first, it sadly didn’t’ last more than three hours, although we have had an insane heat wave and humidity in Durban this week. Perhaps I had set my expectations too high, since I started the reviews with the king of foundation – Double Wear?
On the techie side, Futurist contains Vitamins C and E and a plant-derived hydrating complex to help protect and moisturize skin, leaving it smooth and soft.
