Review: Solemates – the must have goodie for your heels

Don’t you just love it when you’re invited to the most gorgeous garden wedding or family brunch and you get to wear your most gorgeous pair of show-me-off heels? But you can’t simply because you know you’ll be doing some serious leg work on your toes to keep your heels from sinking into the grass? Yes, I know, its just one of those things, but guess what… it doesn’t have to be anymore!

I recently got to try out a new product that makes wearing your heels on uneven surfaces a walk in the park (literaly). The  Solemates High Heeler fits snugly over just about any stiletto heel, increasing the surface area of the base, making it more stable and preventing it from sinking into the ground.

So now, thanks to this innovative product that was born out of personal necessity by creators Becca Brown and Monica Murphy, you can wear your heels whenever and wherever. Grass, cobblestones, bricks and any other uneven surfaces are no longer a challenge and you no longer need to think twice before you slip on your favourite heels!

Anyone else thinking that this is must-have goodie for the Durban July or the next J&B Met?

This smart little godsend attaches easily to most stiletto and kitten heels and fits snugly without damaging your precious heels.

They are available online via www.thesolemates.com, and the lovely Miranda assures me that they are happy to ship to South Africa. They come in black or clear options and at only $9.95 (about R75) you can afford both.

So you are going to take your fabulous heels and stick on a little piece of plastic that, no matter what the manufacturers tell you, will not be invisible? A bit like fixing a hem with a safety pin, or sellotape on your glasses if you ask me.

They come off – very easily so you can slip them on when you’re “walking on grass” but doesnt mean they have to say on permanently 🙂
