The faces of fashion
Paul Denai: Why are you so fascinated by the models?
Carrie Bradshaw: I just love them. They’re beautiful.
Sex & the City: The Real Me
Vogue is clearly thinking in the same way.
It’s just been reported that a new book will be launched honouring the very models that make Vogue the fashion bible it is.
The Faces of Fashion: Vogue Model will be a comprehensive A-Z of the world’s most famous models written by the magazine’s creative director Robin Derrick and its former picture editor Robin Muir. The book will contain iconic imagery of each model with detailed biographies, personal contributions to the industry and of course their Vogue covers.
Covering 90 years of fashion, the book will feature all the various models that have shaped the fashion industry and represented varying ideals of beauty in Vogue. From early covergirls like Dorian Leigh and Twiggy to the Supermodel generation of Naomi, Christy, Cindy and Linda to Kate and Gisele and Agyness; the 350-page book will be the ultimate reference book of the industry’s most fabulous muses.
The Faces of Fashion: Vogue Model will be released on 7th October 2010. You can pre-order a copy on Kalahari.net for R580.00
