Last year Lily Allen left the music industry to open up a clothing store with her sister Sarah Owen. The vintage shop Lucy in Disguise is based in London, houses a retro beauty salon and was featured on the documentary Lily Allen: Riches to Rags.
Now almost a year later, the duo will launch their own collection. Lily and Sarah paired with Nadia Jones, the Oasis creative director to design a range of dresses based on their favourite vintage pieces.
The collection will be available from June and will feature dresses named after memorable people and places. Among the vintage-inspired pieces are Regatta, a mint green polka dot dress; Fortnums, a 40s-style dress inspired by department store Fortnum & Mason; and Capone, a 30s style black sequin number.
Apart from their signature store, the collection will also be stocked at Harvey Nichols and later at several shops around the world. Prices are expected to range from R1000 to R4000.
