Clean Skin, As Easy As 1,2,3
So now I know it’s winter, and I know the only thing on your mind is how quickly you can get under that warm duvet, but ladies, trust me, help your face to keep glowing by following my easy cleaning tips. It’s as simple as 1, 2, 3!
I’ve adopted this skin care routine, and in addition to using my OptiPhi range of skincare, it’s made such a difference to my skin. I haven’t had a breakout in forever, my skin is looking super healthy and my makeup glides on and stays put!
Taking off your makeup is one of the most neglected things women do. Going to sleep with it on is very bad. It clogs your pores, not to mention dirties your linen and you wake up looking like a terrified raccoon! It’s also quite crazy to see how much makeup still stays on your face if you don’t use a decent makeup remover first. I’ve been using Dermalogica Precleanse as a makeup remover and it’s wonderful.
It’s an oil based product that doesn’t leave your skin feeling oily. Using it is simple; apply a small amount into your hands and rub between your palms. Then, stoke it onto your neck, cheeks and forehead using light upward circles with fingertips, then rub downwards onto the sides of the nose and over the eye lids. Wet your hands and massage over it to create a lather like formula and finally, rinse it off with warm water.
As you already know, I’m a huge fan of local skincare brand OptiPhi. I’ve been on it for just over three months and I honestly feel that this range has taken my skin to a whole new level of amazing! I can’t even begin to tell you how it’s transformed my skin, but I do know that I have OptiPhi to thank for making my skin look and feel so amazingly healthy.
Day and night, I use my OptiPhi Facial Cleanser. It’s really a fantastic product that is soap free, so there is zero irritation and zero drying and it cleans without disturbing the PH balance of the skin – one of the main things that makes the OptiPhi range work so well, is that it’s all about getting your PH Levels right, resulting in healthy, glowing skin. What I love about this products is that it works as a toner too, so you can skip the toner and go straight onto moisturizing. I do however, like to use an exfoliating mask on my face in winter, just once a week, to ensure any dead skin cells are removed.
I’ve discovered Acquizhen Gentle Exfoliating Mask, which is an organic mask that leaves your skin feeling fab. I leave it on for 10 minutes after pre-cleansing and cleansing, applying it to damp skin. I like that it’s gentle and doesn’t interfere with my skincare regime, but just adds an extra bit of exfoliating when needed.
How’s your skincare regime?
