Here’s a recap of what’s been going down at London Fashion Week this past weekend.
The show: Mulberry
Where? Claridges
Front row? Kristen Stewart, Kate Moss

Inspired by the British sea-side (which means be prepared for rain) the collection celebrates the femininity of the British lass, seemingly poised , albeit dressed for inclement weather. Key pieces were bright yellow macs with flowy pleated skirts, maxi’s that resembled ice cream sundaes, and bejeweled mini dresses (is that what one wears to the seaside?)

The Show: House of Dereon
Where? Selfridges
Front row? Nevermind that…Beyonce’s on the catwalk!

Beyonce together with her mom Tina decided to play fashion designer, unveiling a collection of “Beyonce-like” clothes. Yep there was a whole lotta of bling, and not a lot of cover up.

The Show: House of Holland
Where? Somerset House
Front row? Eliza Doolittle, Pixie Geldof…and all of Henry’s BFFs

Henry Holland unveiled a “pastel punk” collection which means sherbet hues mixed with bleached jeans, oversized leopard print, rather large zips and, wait for it, snake-skin. The HOH girl just went schizo.

The Show: Vivienne Westwood Red Label
Where? Smithfield’s Meat Market
Front row? Pamela Anderson, Kelis

Themed “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” (or nightmare, depending on which way you look at it) you can always expect something out of the ordinary from Dame Viv. The British elements were all there, a bit of plaid and a whole bunch of tailoring, but surprisingly there were a few key items from the collection that were actually wearable – who would have thought.
