Scarf + Skinny Belt = Summer Shirt

Fashion blogger and expert @sydnesummer shows you how easy it is to turn a scarf into a casual, flowy summer top.

I’ve been following Sydne Summer’s Blog, Think Thru Fashion like a mad addict since discovering it. While browsing one day, I came across a video blog where Sydne shows you how to turn a simple scarf into a summer top using nothing but a skinny belt.

Intrigued, I clicked play and immediately tried this trend out with items in my wardrobe. It’s such fun, cool and an innovative way to re-work the items you have in your wardrobe. I love it!

Personally, I’m not crazy about the belt sticking out at the back, but when you layer it with a cute waistcoat or cropped jacket, it really makes the outfit look polished. I tried an all black version; so black tank top, black skinny jeans and a gorgeous black scarf I bought from Vertigo and this combo really looked nice.

If you’re not crazy about the belt showing at the back, you can also wear a tank top that is the same colour as the belt, that way you won’t even notice it!
