Moroccanoil Launches in South Africa

By  |  13 Comments

Last week I was in Cape Town for the official MOROCCANOIL South Africa Launch. I’m so excited about this celebrity brand of hair care and really glad that it is now available in SA too!

I’ve already started using some of the products I got in my press pack, and all I can say is wah-wah-wee-wah! It’s not often that a product blows my socks off, but this one really did. Ill post a review on StyleScoop later this week, so stay tuned! In the meantime, check out some event photos from the official MOROCCANOIL launch in Cape Town, held at the beautiful 15 on Orange Hotel.

The beautiful setup… Love the turquoise and orange mixed with white – the colours of MOROCCANOIL

The team from MOROCCANOIL Headquarters; Artistic Director Antonio Corral-Calero (right) with the Director of International Brand Managers, Patricia. Keep reading to see her shoes, OMG you will die!

They two of them were so much fun. Both of them have such a great attitude, I guess that’s what happens when you have good hair days every day hey?! Kerri B from @Beauty_Bulletin and I were admiring Patricia’s gorgeous hair. Kerri was in love with the colour and I was in love with the style! Isn’t it preddddy?

Antonio with the gorgeous models; @GinaGoldsmith, @aka_BugsyMalone and Megan.

All the models looked amazing, but the dress @GinaGoldsmith wore was out of this world beautiful! Bright, flowy and angelic!

Top Billing Magazine’s beauty editor Natalie Protoulis with @liezelv and @fashionjazz

Love Natalie’s bangle stacking!

Antonio demonstrating that MOROCCANOIL can easily be used on ethnic hair too. He spritzed Megan’s chic styled hair with GLIMMER SHINE SPRAY, and you could instantly see the results.

@liezelv getting her shine on!

Antonio showing us the two types of hair masks from the MOROCCANOIL range; INTENSE HYDRATING MASK and RESTORATIVE HAIR MASK.

Patricia’s shoes! Didn’t I tell you they were stunners?

A shoe that delicate, that gorgeous and that b-e-a-utiful has got to be a Louboutin!

And while were on the subject of gorgeous shoes, how fab are @liezelv‘s killer heels from Europa Art? Love em!

I had to get me a pikkie with Antonio. Please excuse my fringe erm positioning, I’m still trying to get used to it :P

The press pack was filled with fabulous goodies from MOROCCANOIL. Inside was a GLIMMER SHINE SPRAY, MOROCCANOIL TREATMENT LIGHT, INTENSE CURL CREAM and HYDRATING STYLING CREAM. These products, together with the Original MOROCCANOIL TREATMENT are all currently available in South Africa. The shampoo, conditioner and hair masks will be available soon and I will try to keep you posted on that.

Before heading off to the airport, I got to interview Antonio for five minutes. I didn’t have much time to ask him a million and one questions, so I got right down to the point. I asked Antonio to recommend his top three MOROCCANOIL products for fine hair like mine. Antonio suggested MOROCCANOIL TREATMENT LIGHT as it’s versatile and will adapt to my hair. It’s also 40% lighter than the original, so it wont weigh my hair down. It’s a product your hair cannot live without! Then, Antonio suggested the Shampoo, which will last up to three months and lastly on his top three, Antonio picked out the HDRATING MASK to help liven dehydrated hair. When you colour and highlight your hair it strips your hair of moisture, leaving it dull and frizzy (I hear ya!), adding hydration back to the hair will help improve it’s appearance and take out the frizz.

Well, like I said I’ve already started on the products and love, love, love em! Stay tuned for my reviews later in the week!

The MOROCCANOIL Range is already available in leading salons nationwide. It’s distributed locally by Twincare, so give them a call  on (011) 305 1600 to find a stockist in your area.
