The best thing about accessorising with nails, is that you can change your look every week and never get bored. Nothing is fixed so there is no real commitment…. Just change and play with different looks as your heart desires.

I attended the Pro Beauty Trade Show in KZN over the weekend, where the latest art trends for nails were showcased;  loads of exhibitors made it their business to show off the easiest ways of creating these mini masterpieces.

IMO, you need to keep the look minimalistic in order for it to work and not go OTT! So, either your fingers or toes can be adorned, but not both. Keep one plain and bring attention to the other. It will also look best if you colour match your checks or tartans with the solid hue you will be using, like above!

If you want to go really bold, try using completely contrasting colours together! A great look; black and white. Houndstooth is a hot trend on the runway this season, and can look cool on your nails too! Remember keep it plain on your other digits and you’ll ace the look.
