The Doll House

If you’ve always wanted to carry a Marc Jacobs now is your chance. The designer has been immortalized into a doll and it’s a whole lot cheaper than one of his handbags.

The character Muscle Man Marc first made his appearance in an episode of South Park in 2011 and is now available to purchase from the designer’s stores as well as online. The doll retails for just over R1000. It already has a famous fan… Victoria Beckham. The style star tweeted a picture of herself and the doll earlier this week.

Marc Jacobs isn’t the only fashion star to make the foray into the toy world. Mattel has released several versions of Barbie designed by some of the fashion world’s most fabulous minds including Christian Dior, DKNY, Christian Louboutin and Vera Wang, who designed special bridal Barbies.

Jason Wu has his own line of dolls called Fashion Royalty for toymaker Integrity Toys. This collection is a range of dolls with their own characters, scandalous life stories and couture wardrobes.
