Packing and The Last Day of Winter

Well, for me anyway :-). I’m off with the Hubz to enjoy some fun in the Sun in Europe today and I can’t hardly wait.

We’re off to Greece via Dubai for a whole month, and on the way back we’re spending a few days in Dubai, sightseeing and definitely some shopping!

I always tend to overpack and end up not wearing 80% of what I cart along, so this time around I’ve tried to pack a little smarter. Besides, the more space you have, the more you can shop!

My biggest problem is shoes! I want all of them “just in case”, which I’m sure many of you can relate to! For this trip I’ve packed one pair of heels, one pair of wedges that double up as “smart shoes”, three pairs of sandals (in black, nude and bright yellow) and my Havianas. Today I’m traveling with my fave, nude ballet flats, so covered there too! I think I’m pretty stored. My Hubz was actually shocked and impressed that I didn’t pack my whole shoe collection. Little does he know I plan on growing the collection while I’m in Europe and Dubai!

The other thing I would love to take with is my makeup collection. The whole thing! But my addiction to makeup would definitely not work in my favour in terms or luggage weight. Over the past couple of months, and you’ll know this if you follow me on Instagram (stylescoopdotcoza), I’ve gone over the top with depotting and organizing my eye shadows and lippies into palettes.

I’m only taking my Inglot shadows with me as their 10 pan palette is awesome and I’ve put all my fave colours in. For my lippies, I was planning on taking my Japonesque palette but wanted something more compact. After all I don’t need 36 shades! So, using one of my old Inglot 2-pan palettes, I chopped off the top of my fave colours and managed to fit in eight shades.

Now that I’ve made you all long for summer, I’ll try keep you posted from the other side of the world. That being said, even though I won’t be sitting behind my MacBook and blogging, I’ve been working like a machine this past month to ensure you still have fabulous content to read every day on StyleScoop!

Be sure to follow me on twitter @stylescoop and stylescoopdotcoza on Instagram for random snaps and cool stuff that I spot.

See ya in South Africa’s summer!
Au Revoir! Stay fabulous
