Hair Trend: Front and Center

Center partings are back, and I’m not talking those horrendous ones we all sported in the early 90s (yes, remember those?). For autumn/winter, the centre parting has had a make over, so ladies here are some style tips to get yours.

My favourite is a romantic middle path – soft tousled curls, and classic side twists. You can also funk this look up by using texturising spray to make hair look more undone and beachy à la Blake Lively style. And then there’s more of a Blair Waldorf spin (cue headband) as seen on the runways of Dolce & Gabbana below.

The return of the goth is also a big trend for winter, with models at Alberta Ferretti and Jean Paul Gautier having slicked down hair with a defined middle path. This vampish look needs the whole package, so I’m talking dark stained lips, smokey eyes and lots of black. Another take on the wet look is combed through, just got out of the shower hair. Look to the king of sports-luxe, Alexander Wang for inspiration, although this look is pretty hard to pull off.
