Trapped In The Closet
“I did not have three thousand pairs of shoes, I had one thousand and sixty”
It’s the worst kind of thing to happen to any girl. Imagine building up your dream shoe collection only to have it destroyed. Gone are the days where we all wish we were Imelda Marcos.
The wife of the former Philippines Prime Minister was the owner of the one of the world’s largest shoe collections. Now after years of neglect, over 1200 pairs of shoes and clothes have been damaged by storms and termites. The collection, along with that of her deceased husband were housed at Manila’s National Museum. Some items still remain in perfect condition. The collection which made headlines all around the world was made up of shoes from local Philippine designers as well as high fashion names such as Prada, Gucci, Dior, Chanel and Ferragamo.
Imelda’s not the only one with an enviable shoe closet. Here are some other style stars whose collection we’re crushing on:
Christina Aguilera’s closet is a Louboutin lover’s dream.
Mariah Carey’s shoe closet boats gold leaf and bleached-wood floors.
Being the former founder and president of Jimmy Choo, you wouldn’t expect Tamara Mellon to have anything less than a lust-worthy closet.
There’s no way this list could be complete without one of the Kardashians making a splash. This time it’s Khloe whose collection has us under the collar.
