4. GOSH Brow Kit

GOSH is a brand of cosmetics that is new to South Africa, and from the products I’ve sampled so far, I really like this brand.
They are beautiful, great quality products that don’t cost the earth and used by millions of makeup artists and just normal gals like you and me. One of their cool products is the GOSH Brow Kit – an essential for every day makeup.
The kit contains three shades of brow powders (or shadows if you will) that easily fill, blend or match your brows, as well as a wax cream that is great for shaping, fixing and holding the hairs in place.
The kit comes in a super-flat compact with a mirror (sadly it’s not magnified) and applicator with a tapered brush on one end. It’s pretty much all you need for finishing brows in one!
Although the kit only comes in one variant, so you get all three of the same shadow colours (light, medium and dark) in the compact, I found that even as a brunette, I could use all of the colours, even though my-own brows are between a medium and a dark brown. The only one I couldn’t really use was the first shade.
The medium shade is great for just every day and the dark, looks great for night, even though I don’t like my brows too dark, but sometimes I like to be a bit bolder. This dark shade is not too dark, like black.
You could even mix the three shades to build your own colour – there is no rule that says you have to use just one shade. The kit has been designed to allow you to create your own custom brows, so have fun with it.
For professional MUA’s, this compact would be great for your kit and you could use it pretty much for all your clients without the need to cart along a million and one products.
My favourite part of this kit has got to be the wax in the fourth well (remember, three shadows, one wax). Often when you do your brows, they can look very “powdery”, so when the wax is applied over the brow shadow, it brings back the hair texture and makes them look more natural. It also keeps them in place – a huge bonus! My only complaint is that the wax doesn’t last that long.
