Next month, Revlon will be launching their Photoready Primer and Eyeshadow palettes and I got to give these products a try before they hit the shelves.

The idea is help you create multi-dimensional looks, that last! The best thing about these palettes are how easy they are to use. Just follow the steps on the back and you’re set!

The palette has been designed in the shape of an eye, with two additional blocks at the bottom. The one on the left contains a primer that smoothes out your lids to give you a lovely surface on which to apply your eye shadow. The right block features a shimmering top coat to add a little sparkle to your look.

I tried out three of the shades; 1)  Bohemian, 2) Avant-Garde and 3) Watercolors. My favourite would have to be Bohemian for it’s tropical, bronzey colours! In total there are 8 shades in this collection.

In the pic the colours look very matte, but they are quite the opposite. If you’re into shimmer and sparkle, then you definitely need to try these out.

If you’re more into solid colours, then you probably wont like this palette, used as it is. But remember, you don’t  have to use all the colours together. You can mix them in with colours you’ve already got.

The other nice thing is that these colours are buildable. If you apply using a fluffy brush or blending brush, you’ll get a subtle sparkle, while if you use them with the applicator the colour has a lot more punch. You can even up the intensity by dabbing your applicator in a drop of water and then into the shadow before applying.
