Colourful and shiny! Guerlain launches two fabulous new products for 2013; Gloss d’Enfer, an intense colour lip gloss and La Laque Enamel for long lasting nail colour with super shine
Twenty beautiful, glossy lip shades form part of the gloss collection, which includes a selection of pinks and berry reds to beautiful beiges and coral lips. The one I got to sample was in colour 440 – Coral Wizz, an absolutely perfect-for-summer shade.
Having never tried any of the Guerlain lip glosses before, I must say I love the applicator. The tip has been flattened on both sides, which feels very comfortable on the lips and gives you a perfect application. The colour, well, I love coral, and totally feeling this one!
The colour isn’t quite as intense on the lips as it looks in the tube, but nonetheless a fabulous shade that seems to compliment my own lip colour, amping up the intensity.
The texture of the gloss is super fine and smooth and it doesn’t feel at all tacky or gooey.
There are also ten tempting nail shades that match the lippies. Some very light and nude, some classic pinks and reds, and two gorgeous darker shades. The one above is in colour 64 – Gemma and it’s a light, pinky mauve with a slightly shimmered finish.
The La Laque Enamel is easy to use thanks to the flat blush which makes applying the colour is very seamless. It’s also got a nice shine and dries super fast! One coat gives you an almost invisible sheen of colour, but two coats (as above) really brings the colour to life and is true to the colour of the bottle.
The Muse for this collection is the gorgeous Natalia Vodianova, who has re-invented the 60’s pin-up.
