Military/ Combat boots; A trend I’ve been loving for some time now. It’s taken me a while to find the right pair, but all of a sudden, I have seen so, so many styles that I absolutely must have!
Here are two styles that are currently on my radar, one of which I admit, I’ve already given myself as an early Birthday Present (shhhhh!)
I spotted these beauts at Old Khaki and never thought I’d ever own a pair of “CATS”, but you should never say never I guess! I absolutely love them to bits. It’s not a style for everyone, but with the right outfit, they can look stylish and they do! They fit really well and are super comfy! Plus, I love the fabric pattern on the inside – makes them a little more girly.
I plan on wearing them with dark blue skinny jeans and love them with denim cut off shorts! Mr Price has some really fabulous styles of shorts at the moment. The distressed look of these boots give them a very festival look and my favourite way of wearing them is loosely lased up.
They are perfect as we head into winter. And if you want to wear them with denim shorts, they look stylish with black stockings and an oversized jumper for colder days ahead!
Yay or Nay?
To see one of my how I’d wear these military boots in action, check out how blogger vsdresscode styles her outfit…
1. River Island Jersey Back Vest via ASOS2. Denim Cut off Shorts via Mr Price
3. Wear his shirt! Lightweight Check Shirt by Utopia via Zando
4. Leather Caterpillar Maisie Boots. I paid R1350 from Old Khaki
The second pair of military inspired lace-up boots on my lust list are these gorgeous studded boots by Steve Madden! My friend Vanessa first told me about these boots (she bought a pair in New York) and I am so glad that they are available on our shores too!
If you want a pair of combat boots that are very “right now” then these Steve Madden Tarnney black boots are it! I can think of a million and one ways to wear these booties, and the studs… OMG the studs!
Available at Steve Madden for R1799
And here’s a blast from the past… Check out this post from 2010, where we mentioned military boots. Three years down the line and they are still in fashion! So my guess is that military boots will remain fashionable for years to come, and you know what that means… investment, investment, investment!
What do you guys think of military boots, (or combat boots)? How would you wear them?
