A Good Night’s Sleep In A Jar: Filorga Sleep-Recover

StyleScoop Beauty Review; Filorga Sleep-Recover

Tired Skin? No more thanks to Filorga Sleep-Recover Anti-Fatigue Night Balm. It’s everything your face wished for in a good night’s sleep, but in a jar (or rather, a bottle).

I’m a huge fan of anything that comes from the Filorga lab in France! I’ve been using their products since December last year and am proud to say that Filorga is my skin care of choice and the skin care brand that I currently use when I’m not reviewing other beauty products.

Sleep-Recover has been specially formulated to tackle the four telltale signs of tired skin. You know which signs I’m talking about; dark circles, puffiness, drawn features and a dull complexion.

The older you get, the less you seem to be able to sleep! However, without a good night’s rest, the results can take their toll on your face. There’s a reason it’s called beauty sleep after-all!

Filorga Sleep-Recover contains silk tree extract which does wonders to waking up your skin. Lack of sleep increases internal toxins (glycotoxins) which interfere with the systems that are responsible for protecting and repairing the skin while you sleep. The silk tree extract helps to reduce these nasty toxins, and also helps to rebalance melatonin – the sleep hormone – in the skin.
Other ingredients inside Filorga Sleep-Recover;

  • Horse chestnut extract which helps with circulation and works as an anti-inflammatory to help reduce puffy skin.
  • Filorga’s patented Derm SRC restructuring complex, which helps to boost the production of pro collagen in your skin and reduce those nasty stress lines.
  • Filorga’s NCTF forumula which is a vitamin and mineral enriched formula that is at the core of all their products. This formula helps to reactivate the production of the skin’s support fibres and prevents the signs of fatigue from getting too comfortable on your face.

This product works while you sleep. It is best used it at night, after cleansing and toning and before applying your night cream. It is not designed to replace your night cream, but rather compliment your Skincare regime.

It smells pleasant, as do all Filorga products and because it comes in a pump dispenser, there is no product wastage. The texture is light and absorbs quickly into the skin, and although it is a “balm” it doesn’t leave a greasy residue on your skin.

I use it before my Filorga Sleep-and-Peel (which I am using as a night cream) and definitely wake up with less of a pillow face. I usually have flushed cheeks in the morning and drawn eyes, but this product really seems to be tackling those issues.

I would definitely recommend it, especially if you’re not getting in at least eight hours sleep!

Price: R785 for a 50ml bottle
Get it: From Selected Edgars or Red Square Stores
