7 Beauty Guru’s To Follow on Youtube Right Now

I’m addicted to Youtube. Mostly because I love the fact that there are so many really great beauty guru’s out there sharing their advice… and for free! What could be better?!

Here’s a list (in no particular order) of my favourite Youtube Vloggers and why I am addicted to their channels…

Kandee Johnson

Kandee was one of the first “beauty guru” channels I subscribed to on Youtube. I learnt so much about makeup, tricks and techniques thanks to this guru! She’s fun, she’s bubbly and a little crazy (which I like).

Kandee does makeup tutorials for every day, like how to get flawless skin and how to do a Kim Kardashian inspired look, but she also has some seriously arty stuff – like how to do an Alice in Wonderland Queen of HeartsEdward ScissorhandsCleopatra or  Cruella De Vil inspired makeup look. Then, she’s got some great tricks on how to apply false eye lashes, how to apply highlighter like a pro and how to make small eyes appear bigger.

Makeup by TiffanyD

Tiffany D is a self taught makeup artist. She posts a lot of how to video’s as well as regular “Makeup Haul’s” and her monthly favourites. I love this guru and have tried a lot of her looks.

She has an envious makeup collection, dreamy closet and all round great style. She recently started posting her Outfit’s of the Day on her Instagram channel as well as her DIY home decor, that is enough to inspire anyone! She has some amazing organization tips, which I love!

I like that she posts new makeup collections, and then shows you how to achieve “the look” with her tutorials.

Some great videos of hers that are currently on my favourites list include; Makeup Tips to Look Fab in Photos, Megan Fox inspired Makeup, Navy Smokey Eyes, Scarlett Johansson’s Coral Oscar Makeup look (still one of my all time fave looks) and her Kim Kardashian double winged eyeliner tutorial.

Goss Makeup Artist

Wayne Goss is a professional makeup artist with over 15 years experience. I absolutely love, love, love his channel.

He offers bite-sized advice snippets on beauty, things like; Quick Tips To Flawless Eyeshadow, Super Quick Makeup Fixes, How to Save Money on Makeup, Five Ways to Apply Bronzer and how to Get A Real Glow on a Budget. I find his advice and product recommendations to be invaluable and have the utmost respect for this guru!

Every video he’s done has taught me something, whether it be a new trick or tip or introduced me to a new product. Better yet, he also offers advice on how to use products correctly, for example his video on How To Really Use YSL Touche Eclat. Wish I had watched that before emptying out my Touche Eclat and using it incorrectly!

I find his videos short and sweet, but always filled with tons of knowledge!

He’s also got some great “how to” videos where he shows you (on his own eyes), how to get the look. My faves include: his Cherries & Cream Eye Shadow Tutorial and how to Lift The Eye With Makeup Correction.

Lisa Eldridge

The absolute Pro! Lisa is so inspiring! Her makeup is impeccable, it’s no wonder she’s done the faces of some of the world’s top celebs and models for leading magazine covers and brands!

Her videos are a mix of her favourite products, tutorials on how to achieve a specific look (many times re-creating a look from her magazine covers) as well as looks she does on others, sharing her tips and advice. Love her to pieces!

I’ve favourited her Smokey Eyes for Hooded Eyes tutorial, her Soft Tonal Look – Clemence Poesy Makeup-Tutorial, as well as tutorials on how to re-create the cover looks she did for Cheryl Cole and Nicole Ritchie. Check them out for some massive inspiration. Another fave, that I have tried on myself is her Dramatic Cat-Eye liner look!

Lisa is also the reason I’ve killed my lipsticks and de-potted them into palettes – which has saved me so much dresser space and allowed me to actually USE all my lippies! For that I love her!

Pixi Woo

Mention the words “Youtube Beauty Guru” and everyone knows about Nic and Sam, the sister MUA’s behind PixiWoo. With over a million subscribers these sisters make makeup fun!

Their channel is definitely worth subscribing to and will teach you how to expand your makeup knowledge! I love their tutorials, and the fact that they use both high end as well as drugstore brands to achieve their looks. They also have tons of recommendations and product advice.

If I had to look through my favourites on Youtube, most of them are by Pixiwoo. Some of these include; their Kristen Stewart Makeup Tutorial, Helena Christiensen makeup, Perfect, Easy Smokey Eye and their Angelina Jolie Makeup Tutorial.

Their blending makeup tutorial, is an absolute must for everyone!

Sam (Samantha Chapman) also happens to be the brains behind my fave makeup brushes “Real Techniques”.

Nikkie Tutorials

Nikkie is another crazy, fun loving and talented Vlogger! Her videos are highly entertaining while at the same time highly knowledgeable!

Nikkie does a mix of hair and beauty videos, with lots of tips, tricks and advice. I love her monthly “hits and oh god no’s” where she mentions her fave and worst products. These types of videos really teach you a lot about buying new makeup and beauty products.

She’s a great gal and besides her incredible talent, she’s lots of fun to watch! You will fall in love with her bigger than life personality. She does a lot of celeb music video recreations and I love her Katy Perry Last Friday Night makeup tutorial, Miley Cyrus Can’t Be Tamed makeup tutorial, Lady Gaga Born This Way makeup tutorial and her Adele and Lana Del Ray Inspired makeup tutorials.

Also check out her videos on How to get Perfect Glowy Skin, her EyeBrow Routine and for a real eye opener, you have to watch her video called “A Crash Course to Shine” which she did with Vokswagen! It will scare the crap out of you!

I also like that she posts a lot of her behind the scenes stuff from when she works as a Makeup Artist. I find those to be very inspiring as I am also a bit of a Makeup Artisit :).

Tanya Burr

Another vlogger I love is the gorgeous Tanya Burr. She’s actually dating Jim Chapman, who is Pixiwoo (Sam and Nic’s) brother – how cool! A family of beauty gurus!

Tanya has THE most amazing skin and I just love her makeup technique.

She’ll show you a lot of her tips and tricks in her videos! Some of my faves include her Lana Del Ray Modern 60’s Makeup Tutorial, her Mila Kunis Smokey Eye Tutorial and her Sexy 60’s Brigitte Bardot Makeup Tutorial. But it was her Demi Lovato Makeup Tutorial that had me following her for MORE!

Tanya also shares her Fave Products of the Month and you can catch glimpses of her man, Jim in some of her videos. I especially like the one where he attempts to do her makeup! Must watch!

I love Tiffany D! Have watched loads of her videos 🙂

I think she was the first one I watched. I remember looking for videos on how to organize your closet and found hers and was hooked from there. Love how she’s so natural – makes mistakes on her videos and doesn’t feel the need to start over. Feels like you’re listening to her as part of a conversation 🙂
