Paris to Present Day New York…. this was the inspiration behind Louis Vuitton’s Spring/ Summer 2014 Shoe Collection.
The collection features shoes for all fetishes; gold, leather and embellished with ostrich feathers, right through to timeless styles like high heeled pumps, wedges, peep toes, ankle boots, sandals and slippers!

With this collection, fabric and details bring a spirit of refinement!
Python, glossy glazed calf and velvety suede baby goat leather are complimented by, (for instance) a graphic buckle, a hand tied bow or a patchwork of studs.
The statement shoe of the season… the pointed pump!
Elegant and stylish, these babies will be available in two heel heights; 10.4 cm (4.2 inches) and 8cm (3.2 inches) and will come in three material options; luxe python, which will only come in the 4.2 inch height, glazed calf leather in black, and intense summer shades, and lastly, the silk print with the iconic leopard pattern that was created for Louis Vuitton by Stephen Sprouse.

It’s a lovely collection – no doubt about that. But not convinced about it’s originality. The styles all look like something we’ve seen before. For example, the feathered sandals – arguably the most exciting design in the collection – remind me of the ones from Dior in 2011, don’t you think so?
