Casual Denim-on-Denim Outfit Post

I find wearing denim on denim a little tricky! Do you?

I don’t know why, but I feel that too much denim, on me at least, looks a little too stiff and uniform. As in, like a prison guard uniform.

If you find this too, try mixing contrasting shades of denim/ chambray on your top and bottom, instead of one solid denim shade. You’ll still get that denim-on-denim look, but it will be far less overpowering.

Here, I mixed a navy Perfect Oxford Shirt from Gap with denim shorts, nude wedges and a leopard print belt.

To keep this look casual and cool, I rolled up the sleeves on my shirt and tucked it one side of shirt to reveal my leopard print belt.

This shirt is really great because it has exposed buttons all the way down (to just above the belly button),  and then a nice clean line throughout. So, when you tuck it in, it still looks great and you don’t have buttons pushing into the waistline and adding bulk.
