The Makeup Bullet

Today I wanted to share a new makeup tool that I’ve started using, and it’s pretty amazing!

Makeup Tools (brushes, applicators, sponges, beauty blenders etc) are essential. And the right tools can be the difference between good makeup and great makeup application.

And here’s a great new one…

The Makeup Bullet is a HiDef Cosmetic Finger Sponge that gives you great coverage and it’s a much needed tool in your beauty bag.

It fits snugly on your finger, allowing you absolute control, and thanks to it’s pointed edge and bend-ability, it allows you to get into those hard-to-reach places to apply your makeup like a pro!

I use brushes and beauty blenders in my routine, switching them up depending on what level of coverage I’m going for, or the type of foundation I use.

I started using The Makeup Bullet a little while ago and although it’s similar to a beauty blender – in that it is also a “sponge” and can be used damp or dry – it’s a nifty little tool that allows you a few more benefits.

Like being able to add more pressure on your makeup application, fine tuning your coverup and I love the super pointed edge that gets into those hard-to-reach places, like the inner corner of your eye.

It’s quite pricey (retailing at R300 in SA), but it’s also a high quality tool, that will last you for ages!

When I’m in a rush and want to do my makeup quickly, I like to use my Beauty Blender, but when I’m going out and want to get a flawless face, then I whip out this bad boy! I also find myself reaching for it when I’m applying concealer because it allows for excellent precision.

The other benefit of the The Makeup Bullet is that you can also use it to “clean up” your under eye area after you’ve applied your shadow. Other tools can do this, but the Makeup Bullet makes it easier and flawless.
