Liquid Gold! Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo-Complexe

Oh my gawsh girls! I have to tell you about this amazing hair range that I’ve fallen head-over-heels in love with!

Love I tell you, LOVE!

It’s the Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo-Complexe range.

A complete system for all hair types (including my fine, no longer flat hair) that’s super nourishing, without weighing the hair down!

In one word, it’s heaven!

At first, I was a little nervous. The words “elixir ultime” and gold packaging scared me a bit as I thought it would be one of those super luxurious ranges that would leave my hair oily.

Since my locks are dead straight, and my hair is very fine, generally super indulgent ranges end up being too indulgent for my hair. But the Kerastase Elixir Ultime is pretty amazing!

After the first use, which included shampoo (Bain Elixir Ultime), followed by the mask (Masque Elixir Ultime) and then the “rock star” oil (Elixir Ultime Multi-Use Oil), my hair was noticeably softer, with a beautiful healthy shine, that lasted for three days before I had to wash it again.

That’s always a huge benefit for me, when I can enjoy “clean hair” that’s manageable without having to wash it every, single day!

To add to that, during those three days, my hair remained soft and supple and didn’t drive me bananas!

And the smell! Absolute heaven!

The Bain Elixir Ultime shampoo is silicone and paraben free, so it gives you a nice purifying cleanse that’s gentle on the hair. I’ve noticed a nice little “bounce” in my roots and they aren’t sitting flat on my head, which is usually the case. In other words, I could feel and see that it deep cleaned my hair, from the root without loading up on silicone.

Masque Elixir Ultime is a treatment masque that helps to strengthen the hair, wash after wash. I applied it to my mid lengths and ends, left it in for about five minutes, and rinsed it through.

After I towel dried my hair, I applied the “gem”, Elixir Ultime Multi-Use Oil, which is a fabulous product.

I’ve been using it instead of my Moroccan Oil (which, if you’re a longtime SS reader, you’ll know how much I love my Moroccan Oil) and I can honestly say that I’ve found another product that works just as well on my hair, but this one smells incredible!

I also love to use the oil on dry hair, to give it a nice frizz free feel on day two and three, and keep that heavenly smell going!

You can also apply it as a pre-cleanse treatment – and I’ve been doing so before my next wash is due.

Totally addicted!
