October in South Africa means one thing… So long winter and hello summer! With that, my brain is almost 100% tuned into warmer weather and all I can think about is fun, sun, sand and sea! So my wishlist this month, is all about that and the start of summer…
Converse x PatBo Chuck Taylor All Stars
I realise this is the THIRD pair of sneakers I’ve added in three monthly wishlist posts (and in a row) but what can I say, other than I am obsessed with them! Especially with these Converse x PatBo Chuck Taylor All Stars! Aren’t they simply to friggin die for!?
These limited edition kicks literally made my jaw drop when I walked past them at the Converse store. They are fun and eye catching, and kinda remind me a bit of the new GUCCI Ace Embroidered Low Top’s which I’m also in love with. While a bit pricey (I think they were around R2600 – R2700 if I remember correctly), they aren’t as steep as the GUCCI sneakers (which converted from $695 is the equivalent of R9571.85), and while normal Chuck’s cost under R1000, you could definitely see that these were a more “expensive” quality.
The floral design is a limited edition collaboration with Sau Paulo fashion label, PatBo and the beautiful floral embroidery design by PatBo is stylishly worked into these iconic high tops. Adding more wow is the beautifully constructed internal laceup design, not to mention the hot pink outsole, shiny gold aglets and a debosed leather Chuck Patch.
Say it with me now…. I WANT!
If you’re an online shopper or have friends in the US who don’t mind being your shoe-mule, then you can score these babies here for $74.97 (which is around R1100), but remember that excludes customs and duties, so bear that in mind if you’re considering shopping overseas.
Rose Gold Africa Ring
You may have heard me talk about this beautiful ring on my latest video, where I shared some of my monthly favourites from September. After receiving a stunning Jelly Gem ring as a gift from Janine Binneman, I checked out her website and spotted this cute as a button, rose gold Africa Ring and now, I want it!
I love dainty, but not too dainty rings with a little personality, and I just think that this one is absolutely gorgeous!
A unique and beautiful piece for only R250.
I am so glad that Stuttafords have brought the amazing cosmetics brand theBalm to South Africa, since Mary-Lou Manizer has been on my wish/ want list for ages! With theBalm in SA, I’ve experienced the high quality and gorgeousness of Cindy-Lou Manizer (a more peachy toned highlighter, also from theBalm) I need, need, need to add Mary-Lou Manizer to my collection as well!
Mary-Lou Manizer is more golden than my beloved Cindy-Lou Manizer, and with summer just around the corner, I think it would look fantasticly gorgeous paired with bronzed skin.
Ray-Ban Clubmaster Classic
Do I really need another pair of sunglasses? Well, the answer is yes! It’s always yes when it comes to sunglasses really! IMO a girl can never have enough makeup, shoes, diamonds or sunglasses! And the sunnies I want right now are these classic, all black Ray-Ban Clubmaster Classic shades.
Inspired by the 50’s these sunnies are timeless and will never go out of style, but I love how retro chic they look too! The thing I love about Ray-Ban is that the lenses offer high quality protection for your eyes, and they aren’t too pricey! I mean, they ain’t cheap – but considering the price of high end eyewear Ray-Ban is a top competitor.
Polaroid Cube HD Camera
How awesome is this teeny tiny, splash resistant, shock proof Cube Camera from Polaroid? It would make such a cool piece of gear to take with on those summer vay-cays!
At 35mm x 35mm this little guy features HD 1080p video, a 6MP camera, a 124° wide-angle lens and it records up to 90 minutes of video footage.
The iStore has them and I see they are selling them on their website for R1599. Plus, much like the go pro, you can purchase a bunch of fun accessories, so you can really have fun with this lifestyle action piece of equipment.
PS Nordstrom is selling them for the equivalent of R1 500.17 so it’s a great deal!
Kenzo x H&M
Okay, I’m jumping the gun here, but considering we’re already into the second week of October, I need to get this on my wishlist ASAP! KENZOxHM, the much anticipated designer collaboration from H&M is hitting the International and South African market on the 3rd November 2016, and since I physically saw how quickly the HMxBalmain collection from last year, literally flew off the shelf, I think it’s safe to say that I’ll have to camp outside H&M to get me piece of the love!
I’m not entirely sure what I want yet (and if I’ll even get my grubby paws on anything), but judging by the KENZOxHM Lookbook on Fashionista.com, there’s going to be a few, really eye catching pieces screaming my name!
These four are just some of the beauties I’ve got my eye on! Love, Love, Love! I need that beautiful dress in the second pic, and that scarf in the third pic is so beautiful!
What’s on your wishlist this month?
