Makeup Done, The Easy Way + GOSH Makeup Goodies Up For Grabs [closed]

The days are getting shorter, nights are getting longer, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve become increasingly lazy when it comes to doing my makeup. Still, I want an easy look – something that I can literally throw on.

Danish makeup brand GOSH, (who I’ve featured on StyleScoop before) sent over a couple of their goodies for me to try. I’ve always liked the high quality of their products and how easy they are to use, so I knew these would be perfect for my lazy girls guide to makeup.

I’ve also got a little spoil for one of my lucky readers, giving you chance to play with some Danish GOSH goodness, so make sure you keep on reading …

Start with a Makeup Perfecting Base

This little guy, the GOSH Primer +  Illuminating Skin Perfector (R225) is my new BFF! I’m all about creating that subtle glowing skin – and even though my melasma prevents my skin from “glowing”, I fake it!

And what a great product this is to do just that!

It gives my skin the slightest lift and makes it look more alive – even without makeup. With foundation over top, it works as a fantastic primer to keep foundation from sliding off.

I love that it is lightweight and blends into my skin’s texture while it enhances and improves it. Also, how cute is the little container – such a great travel ready product!

Enhance The Eyes

The quickest way to achieve easy eyes is with cream shadows – and lately, I’ve been loving the Forever Eye Shadow sticks from GOSH (R160).

I love that they are compact (so you can take them everywhere with you – perfect for your travel makeup bag because they won’t break or crumble into your other goodies) but I really love the long wearing formula that’s easy to work with.

Another bonus, these shadows apply straight onto your lid, and you can blend them with your fingertips. You don’t need to worry about using brushes – or washing brushes for that matter – hah!

I apply the crayon straight onto my lid, then pat-blend (is that a word?) with my fingertip to even out the application.

I could get away with this as an overall look (just adding some mascara), but even though I’m going for easy eyes, why not add a little sparkle?

And that’s where the GOSH Shimmering Forever Eyeshadow sticks come into play.

I like to add a pop of metallic shimmer to my mobile lid (so that it gives it more dimension) and the shade Brown No4 is my fave so far.

Even though you don’t need to use brushes with these shadows, I wanted to see if I could get a more blended effect on my crease area. My crease tends to, erm crease, so the synthetic fibers of my brush work better in that area to avoid extra oil from my fingertips.

Then, to fake that “wide awake eyes” look, I like to draw just a teeny amount of shade Light Copper – No3 – a golden metallic to the center of my lid.

Of course, I can’t live without my black liner, but to keep this look more toned down than made up, I only applied a slick of liner using GOSH Giant Pro Liner (R185) in Blacker than Black to my top lid.

It’s a one stroke wonder liner, that defines the lid in one, smooth move. The felt tip is super pointy and thickens out, so by applying different pressure strokes you can create subtle lines or something more dramatic and defined.

On the lower lash line, I left it bare, and only applied a bit of the crayon eyeshadow to create depth.

Then, I finished off the look with GOSH BOOMBASTIC XXL Mascara (R155) and C est voila. Eyes are done!

It took me a while to get used to the GOSH BOOMBASTIC Mascara – but now I have it on repeat. Since it’s an XXL mascara, I expected instant XXL lashes. While it definitely made my lashes seem longer, I only saw thickness after a couple of applications. But – and here’s why I love this mascara – the more you load on your lashes, the thicker and more va-va-voom your lashes become without crumbling off.

The formula seems to handle layers well, which means you can load them up without spokey pokey lashes and the dry down isn’t crunchy – but rather a gel like consistency that wraps around each lash.

Sealed with a Kiss

On my lips, I’m wearing the GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick (R140) in the shade Nude 162 which is a perfect, pouty nude that looks like natural lips, only better!

I really like the formula of these Velvet Touch lippies. They make my lips feel soft and buttery (thanks to the Vitamin E content) and I love the yummy smell.

I also got to try out one of the GOSH Matt Lipsticks and the shade Cranberry No 014 is a winner for winter! Rich and alluring and even though it’s a matt formula it doesn’t dry out my lips and I’m giving GOSH 10 points for intensity on these!
