French for “She is very pretty”
I ventured to the ELLE magazine workshop at Durban’s Max Institute of Fashion Art at Gateway last week and was enthralled by the fashion and styles. Here are some of the things that caught my attention:
I fell in love with these boots – even the action up on stage couldn’t get me to look away from them! Wear them with leggings and longer length blouse.

Then I looked to my right and spotted these beauties: patterned, wet look leggings. And would you believe the wearer was in her 50’s? My new fashion crush is the wet look leggings – took me a while to embrace them, but they look great with a tunic and gladiator heels.

Meet Kate from Nintendo – she came on stage to talk a bit about Nintendo Wii Fit Plus and I thought her outfit was great: the perfect way to celebrate the onset of summer (which finally reached Durban this last weekend!) I especially love her metallic gladiators. Might have to find me some too…

When I saw these gladiators below, then I really knew I had landed in Gladiator City. Loving the studs which will be a big trend this season and into Autumn as well.

And then as we were leaving I spotted these two ladies. The one on the left is Tiffany from ELLE mag – I loved the monochrome look with the fab heels, while the lady to her right was in a stunning Grecian-inspired floor sweeper with 3/4 sleeve denim jacket (another one of my fashion crushes this season).
