Lack of sun and freakishly cold weather in November could not dampen our spirits, as my friend, Kerryn and I got the chance to attend the ghd Style Lounge in Johannesburg. After a long day at work we were only too glad to unwind, sip on champagne and savor Lindt chocolates, whilst waiting for out transformation to begin.
This year’s Style Lounge was hosted, as always by iconic beauty brand, ghd, with makeup styling by international cosmetic brand, Benefit. The location was at Atlas studio, which was a perfect, trendy setting for hours of sheer pampering.
First, the experts from Benefit treated us like celebrities during our make-up makeovers. The make-up artists were well versed with their products and were truly professional and talented.
Then, Kerryn and I received the star treatment as a team of ghd stylists created the season’s hottest hairstyles – tumbling curls for her and real rocking glam style for me.
Once our transformation was complete we were led into a uniquely designed photography area, where we got the chance to dress up in funky accessories and snap our own self-portrait photographs, capturing this special memory of girly afternoon on camera.
We’d like to thank the organisers of the the ghd Style Lounge for an amazing afternoon. Not only did we get spoilt, and treated like celebs, but we also learnt so much about the ghd products. We were especially impressed with the new ghd IV salon styler.
