Fab Find Friday: Clinique Superdefense

I’m loving the new Clinique Superdefense SPF moisturizer. I have been using it for about two weeks now, every morning and it really has made a huge difference, to my (once) dry skin.

I love how it goes on and gets almost instantly absorbed.  The added bonus of the Superdefense is the 25 SPF, which makes it perfect for summer.  Although when summer really comes to Durban, Ill still use my 100 SPF to avoid my pigmentation patches making a comeback.

Go to a Clinique counter and try it out – it’s so, so, sooooooooo much better than the Dramatically Different Moisturizer that I used to use and really a top product.

Here is a bit more info:

It’s available in three formulas: Very Dry to Dry, Dry Combination (like mine) and Combination Oliy to Oily and retails at around R395.00.

Clinique says that this is thier most advanced daily age prevention moisturizer and it is an updated product that has new benefits which can defend against emotional (yay) and Psychological (yay) stress on the skin.

Definately a winner and it earns my Fab Find Friday award this week!

My skin is dry AND sensitive, so dry skin anything still stings the hooha out of me. But will keep it in mind once things normalise. Love the pink gel-type moisturiser. Bad person I am I don’t remember what it’s called. The eye gel goody is fabulous too.

You should try it – its very cool. Another thing I have found with my skin is to not use a soap based cleanser. I am using the Nivea Cream cleanser and no toner, so just the cream cleanser and then the Clinique moisturizer and it has made a huge difference 🙂

I use Creme Classique’s soap-free cleanser. Any other cleanser is also too harsh.
Now if I can only find an everlasting lip balm 🙁

Go for Elizabeth Ardens’ Eight hour cream! It is magic stuff that. I use it on my lips every day and just before I go to bed and it seems to last forever. If I’m not mistaken, they have a lip one too….

I do use their lip balm (which has a SPF built in), but my lips are soooo dry, it doesn’t last very long. I use about one tube every two weeks (if I’m lucky). I love Eight Hour cream. I even did an entire post on it on one of my MyDL blogs.

I’ve used this for 7 moths and I’m very happy with it. I use dry combination and it does wonders. I love putting it on my face every day. 🙂

This really is a fabulous product. I had been using Clinique dramatically different moisturiser for ever, and had to change it because it wasn’t giving my skin enough moisture. I have been using this one for the past three months and can really see a difference in my skin. Unfortunately mine just ran out, thankfully though I see Edgars is running a Clinique free gift special at the moment, hope I make it in time 🙂
