If you were stranded on a dessert island what’s the one product you’d take with you? Mine would without a doubt be, Estee Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair. I’ve not only  been impressed by this product, but it’s become part of my daily skincare routine since I first used it in July last year. In fact, I went without it for a few days and I could literally see my skin begging me to bring it back! The theory that it would protect and repair skin from pollution and day to day environmental disasters sounded great at first, but after my third bottle (I’m an addict who doesn’t need rehab), I can honestly say that this product is all that and more!

It’s Playtime! Tried Trend – Playsuits

Yesterday, I popped past Gateway and saw that Forever New is finally open (YAY)! While I did manage to stop myself from spending money (this time around as the store was just too full) – I did notice that nearly every single one of the sales girls was wearing a playsuit. Playsuit, all in one, jump suit, rompers – call it what you will, but one thing is for sure – it’s a huge trend right now and I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it. Don’t get me wrong or anything, I mean I love it on them (some at least). One girl looked adorable in a blue floral playsuit with stilettos. But then again she was about 5 foot tall and had pin straight legs – The perfect all in one for her petite frame. It took some time to convince myself, but I finally picked one off the rack and headed towards the fitting room.

Every girl needs a silk dress hanging in her closet…

and why not? Ive done it again! As hard as I had tried to avoid the temptation (ahh the lustrous temptation) of shopping online, I just couldnt keep myself from browsing around on ASOS.com again. This time in search of cute lil’ summer dresses – which by the way, they do have the most I-want-it-now collection! After my last ASOS purchase and very expensive “customs encounter” this time I kept my purchase to a minimum, and instead of trying to cram in as much as I could into one order, I bought only what I wanted right now. I also split my order over two purchases and opted for the 10Pound delivery charge on each as apposed to the 20Pound delivery to get it here faster – last time it was delayed at customs for way longer, so I’ll just have to be a good little girl and wait! One of my purchases (which I’m still waiting for before you ask me to Tweet it or load it up :)) was this magnificent, pure silk Chilli Pepper Marble printed dress. A dress which I certainly think was worth way more than R283.00 (£26.00) I paid. We are after all, talking…

If you follow me on Twitter, you’ll know that I’ve been on the hunt for a specific shade of silver nail colour for some time now. Not the cloudy silver you find in many of the nail colour brands, but a more shocking kind of silver – call it metallic, tinfoil, reflective or mirror type nails – you know the type Lady Gaga is often seen wearing? As it turns out, my search was misguided by searching for a “nail polish” and I’m not quite sure how I hit the search jackpot, but what I found was that I should have been searching for adhesive nail wraps. The ones Lady Gaga wears are called Minx, but there’s another brand called SheeKee that offers the same concept and both are available in South Africa!

What do you call a fragrance that does absolutely everything? From making you smell good, to feeling good, even as far as toning up your skin? Clarins Eau Dynamisante of course! Say hello to summer vitality with this fresh, fabulous and invigorating fragrance. I’ve been using Clarins Eau Dynamisante, religiously every day (and night before bed) for the past week and I am loving it. Not just for the woody/ fresh smell but for how gorgeous it makes my skin look and feel! It’s a fragrance that also works as a treatment product, toning and protecting your skin by moisturizing and promoting skin tone and suppleness. It’s kinda a fragrance, without being a fragrance and by that I mean it smells really good, it feels really good, but it doesn’t give you that “super scent” like traditional EDP and Perfume does. Instead it offers a light and discreet scent that, when splashed on your skin, makes you feel shower fresh in a more glamours way – minus that soapy/ powdery smell that one associates with shower fresh.
