The Weekend Wrap

The Weekend Wrap

This weekend was perfect for catching up on some much needed chillin’ and working on my tan. On Saturday, I spent some time in the sun and watched the game. My Sharks vs the Cheetahs. Well, what a frustrating game! After Lambie missed the poles for the second time – Michalak also missed them in between – making it three missed kicks in a row, I eventually gave up my position in front of the TV to carry on enjoying the sunshine on a gorgeous summer’s day. It was scorching hot out and I’m finally starting to look like a Durbanite! Lots of Appletiser on hand to keep cool! Sunday was another BEA-utiful Durban day, spent out by the pool. In the afternoon we decided to take a drive down to the beachfront to check out Moyo on Ushaka Pier. A friend told me about it and how “you just have to go there for sundowner’s” and this Sunday seemed like the perfect afternoon to do just that. The position is perfect! It’s literally on the edge of the pier; a double story building with the most fabulous views of Durban’s buzzing beach front and the show stopping Moses Mabhida Spaceship…

Appletiser – It’s the Weekend Baby

Appletiser – It’s the Weekend Baby

On Tuesday this week, I was invited to attend the launch of Appletiser‘s new plastic bottle option and celebrate its 45 year anniversary at the fabulous Wodka restaurant in Durban. Yep, Appletiser now also comes in a plastic bottle variant, and this option is marked to revolutionise the brand by improving its convenience and value offering. For us that means more South Africans will be able to enjoy more Appletiser, more often! The new plastic bottle comes in a 1.25 litre bottle, and retails at the same price as the traditional 700ml glass Appletiser. For beach days, there is also a new 350ml Appletiser in a plastic bottle. So no more heavy beach bags! Amen! “By understanding that the global credit crunch has changed consumer purchasing habits forever and by staying close to the economic reality of existing and potential consumers, we were motivated to make a meaningful adaption that could positively benefit the consumer both from a convenience and value perspective. So we are thrilled to announce this history making addition that will enable consumers to enjoy their favourite premium sparkling fruit juice anywhere and anytime” says Appletiser Managing Director, Francois Rozon. I think its such a great idea…
