For Autumn 2012, Peter Phillips, Creative Director for Chanel makeup, amps up the intensity of the iconic house codes in his amazing Chanel Autumn 2012 Makeup Collection. The collection has been on counter since late August (yes, even in South Africa) and I’ve just recently tried it out. As much as I love makeup, I usually find wintry colours a bit boring and bland, but Chanel really knows how to put the excitement back into Autumn makeup and bring out the most amazingly unusual colours. Take a look… Lips Chanel Autumn lips are loyal to the Mademoiselle, each shade conveying a facet of the style of Chanel. I tried the new Rouge Coco Shine in 73 – Chic. It’s a transparent beige that gives the lips a little bit of colour and at the same time, shine, however neither are overpowering. Price: R340 There is one lip colour shade for this collection – Rouge Coco Caractere – and it is, in my opinion the best colour they could have chosen.
