I realize today’s post is a little late, considering we’re already into the second week of March, but I’ve been under the weather and haven’t had the energy to post. Nonetheless, I’m feeling a lot better and wanted to start my first blog post of March as a tribute to my favourite month of the year! I love March for a number of reasons. Firstly, it’s my Birthday month and it also happens to be my anniversary month. March is also (usually) filled with holidays, plus it’s the dawn of a brand new season. So in keeping up with tradition, it’s wish list time again – ya know, just putting it out there for the universe to see…

I don’t know about you girls, but the older I get the less I want! Is that weird? It’s not that I dont want “stuff”, I do, I just don’t want random stuff that serves no purpose in my life, know what I mean? The funny thing is, more and more women I speak to have said the same thing. They want cool shiz that makes their smiles grow and hearts flutter. So instead of doing OTT Christmas wish lists, I thought I’d put together some small, but inexpensive gift ideas that you can hint-hint for your list to Santa, or if you’re looking to buy a fabulous friend something she’ll actually love this Christmas. And, don’t worry, I’ve covered various price brackets too, starting from R60! Here goes… my Ultimate Gift Guide for the woman who seems to have it all … Beauty Blender & Bling Ring (R600) – This is the ideal gift for the girl who loves makeup and pretty things on her vanity. Two birds, one stone. Stockists, call 0861 11 22 22 Le Creuset Mini Mills (R360, on sale at Le Creuset for R288 ) – If she isn’t already craving some Le Creuset in her life, you’ll be buying her…

This year, the CHANEL Makeup Creation Studio celebrates the “Icon”, Rouge Noir – a rich reddish-brown nail colour that, since its inception in 1995 has been a cult nail polish, season after season! Twenty years later, this cult colour is given the seat of honour – where the spirit of Rouge Noir meets that of the festive season, adding a mysterious aura to a hypnotising collection. It launches in South Africa on the 13th November 2015 (as part of the full Holiday 2015 collection), this is one range that you should definitely be adding to your festive wish list, especially if you’re a lover of Chanel Rouge Noir, like me! But let me show you gals the beauty of of my favourite lip colour and nail polish from the 2015 CHANEL Holiday Collection range… LE TOP COAT LAME Rouge Noir (R380) features fine gold leaf in a transparent texture, infused with golden pearlescent pigments. Use this sparkling polish as a top coat, layered over your ROUGE NOIR nail polish for that festive finish, or pile on the layers, and apply several coats for an even more intense, precious effect. For the lips, think rich, dark, avant-garde lips with ROUGE ALLURE in ROUGE NOIR 109 (R505) A dark plum lip colour for seriously seductive, vampy lips! The colour of…

If you’re looking to spoil yourself with something beautiful, I’ve rounded up my seven favourite high-end beauty products, that are totally worth the splurge! Clarisonic Plus Yes, yes, I know! A Clarisonic is a pretty pricey beauty splurge, but trust me when I say there is nothing else like it on the market. Or at least, that I’ve tried anyway! If you’re planning on investing in one (remember Christmas is just around the corner so don’t forget to ask Santa) then I’d really recommend that you put your money towards the Clarisonic Plus.  It’s the Crème de la crème of Clarisonic’s and although it’s the most expensive option, the fact that it has two brush heads that you can use on your face and body, makes it worth it. I love using mine to cleanse all the makeup gunk off my face at night and I use my body brush to polish my shoulders and arms, which makes them feel soft and beautiful. To read more about this fabulous device, check out my blog post on it here. Price: R3499.00 Available at Stuttafords Chanel CC Cream Without a doubt, Chanel CC Cream is T-H-E best CC cream you will ever come across. I’ve tried a ton, and while there have been good…

While we look forward to welcoming summer, the rest of the world is getting ready for winter – and with that a brand new, beautiful Makeup Collection for Autumn 2015 from Chanel. Chanel Collection Automnales launches in South Africa this week (available from the 21st August 2015), and I’ve got a little sneak peek to get you as excited as I am! I don’t know about you, but late in the summer, I always romanticise about autumn and winter. I don’t know if its the thought of cocooning in cozy textures, or spending hours in front of a sizzling fireplace, the colder months definitely seem more indulgent, richer and more enchanted. And that’s what the Chanel Makeup Creation Studio has done with their new makeup collection for winter 2015/2016. Inspired by the magical season of autumn, they’ve developed a collection of essentials caught between shadow and light, combining muted undertones and radiance. As the leaves change colour, warm and subtle harmonies compose a collection of timeless elegance focused on shades of khaki, brown, fawn and ochre notes, lush greens and flamboyant reds. Eyes If autumn were a tapestry, it would be woven of brown, fawn and khaki squares sewn together with gold, bronze and copper threads, accented by a few colourful touches of rust orange.  The Limited Edition Eyeshadow…

Karl Lagerfeld surprised audiences once again, as he unveiled Chanel’s 2015-16 Fall/ Winter collection. Always creating unique backdrops and beautiful settings for his shows, this 3D Collection, was presented in a casino theme reinvented at the Grand Palais. Between card games, roulette tables and slot machines, models with their neo-tomboy plunging bob hairstyles, showcased a very structured and graphic silhouette, while celebs and close friends of Chanel played blackjack in Le Cercle Prive.  Uniting the traditional expertise of Haute Couture with the latest technologies, Karl Lagerfeld created a range of 3D suits, using the “selective laser sintering” technique, where pieces come painted, embroidered with beads, lined with satin, embroideries or braided in leather. The CHANEL jacket was completely reinvented and thrust into a whole new dimension. “The idea was to take the most iconic jacket from the 20th century and turn it into a 21st century version which was technically not possible at the time it was born” says Lagerfeld. The iconic Chanel Tweed embellished dresses and suits were trimmed with the “new Chanel braid”, sewn into the continuity of the fabric. Evening looks follow an asymmetric line, veering towards the back. It comes swathed in lace, faille, silk, raffia, tulle and organza, duchess…
