I’m such a sucker for all things pretty for the home and always get a little excited when I find unique pieces that add energy to my space. So, when I landed upon Hello Pretty, I finally found a place I could indulge my home decor desires. Best of all, being a South African website, I don’t have to worry about crazy customs and shipping charges. Hooray! Decor Monday – It’s Off The Wall

Do you want to bring the fun factor to your home? Keep reading for a totally off the wall concept… At the moment I’m reviewing an awesome book on Decorating, that has sparked some interesting decor and design ideas! I’ll tell you guys about the book once I’ve read it all, but lets just say it came at the perfect time! I’m going through one of those “decor-fueled-energy-sparks” lately. Do you guys ever go through these? I love them! Anyway, as I was paging through, I spotted a really cool idea used to maximize space in a small bathroom and I used my know-it-all friend, Google to track them down! Fun and functional, these unique hooks by Thelermont Hupton are awesome and will definitely bring an element of quirky playfulness to your home! Where would you use them? How about in a narrow entrance hall? A great spot for your guests to hang their coats or handbags! Tell me they are not super cool! If I had R1230 to play with (they are £90) I’d totally get one, but as always, all my savings go into my shoe fund, and that I’m afraid is enough for a new pair of…

Decor Monday – Fluff up your tail feathers

While at the 15 on Orange Hotel for the Moroccanoil launch, I fell in love with these beautiful feathered lamps! They are so different and girly! I love them! They also give the room great ambiance and texture. After looking for them online, I discovered that these gorgeous lamps came from Haldane Martin in Cape Town. The Fiela Feather Arc Light was inspired by the lightness of dandelions and finished with soft white ostrich feathers from Oudshoorn. How beautiful! The price of the arc lamp was a little scary! R14 473! Eeek! But if you’ve got the money to spend on it, then I envy you! Look how beautiful the two lamps look in the hotel atrium. The couch, is also a Haldane Martin design and would make an interesting and unique waiting area don’t you agree?
