I must be honest, I wasn’t overly keen to let summer go, but after seeing the amazing line up at the Woolworths Winter launch, I’m amped for winter! To get you as excited as I am about winter, check out some of the key trends and gorgeous items you can find at Woolies! Last season, I wore my blue Technicoloured RE: jeans to death! I was amazed at how many gorgeous eye popping outfits could be created with one pair of good quality, bright blue skinny jeans. This season, blue bottoms are still on trend, with the brightness level turned down a notch to a more jewel-toned teal! Other hot colours include a power purple, a warm wintry brown and deep reds, all of which will help you keep colourful while beating the winter blues! When this outfit hit the runway at the Woolies Winter launch, I was sold! I love the layered look of this biker-chic style that is still feminine yet fashionable and sexy! You could pull off this look quite easily with the right pair of ankle boots, a gorgeous leather-look bomber jacket and a plain black tee. I’d rock this look with these Fold Over Cuffed…

Fashion blogger and expert @sydnesummer shows you how easy it is to turn a scarf into a casual, flowy summer top. I’ve been following Sydne Summer’s Blog, Think Thru Fashion like a mad addict since discovering it. While browsing one day, I came across a video blog where Sydne shows you how to turn a simple scarf into a summer top using nothing but a skinny belt. Intrigued, I clicked play and immediately tried this trend out with items in my wardrobe. It’s such fun, cool and an innovative way to re-work the items you have in your wardrobe. I love it! Personally, I’m not crazy about the belt sticking out at the back, but when you layer it with a cute waistcoat or cropped jacket, it really makes the outfit look polished. I tried an all black version; so black tank top, black skinny jeans and a gorgeous black scarf I bought from Vertigo and this combo really looked nice. If you’re not crazy about the belt showing at the back, you can also wear a tank top that is the same colour as the belt, that way you won’t even notice it! Go ahead, try it out, then…

I think Victoria Beckham has taken a back seat in my Style Star Train and Kim Kardashian is in the driving seat. I just love how she pulls off colour blocking trend. So effortlessly chic, so casual cool, so hot and best of all, here’s how you can get copy Kim’s look for both day and a night time affair. Colour Blocking for daytime To nail the Colour Blocking Trend, Kardashian Style, you need a few basics; A simple white tee with pocket detail. Edgars has some really great ones that look almost identical to the one Kim K is wearing here. A pair of distressed jeans that you can turn up for the ultimate oh-so-cool style statement. I love this pair from Levi’s. They are Straight Cut Demi Curve Jeans in “Painted Beauty” and if you manage to find a pair (they were launched in selected Levi’s stores in July) then snap them up quick! R999 A pair of sky high nude heels. Although Kim is wearing caged-styled Louboutin’s, this pair of colour blocking wedges from Nine West are my favourite shoes of the moment. Denim is just one of those items that will never go out of fashion. Every season it gets re-invented; whether it’s the wash, the style or the cut. This season, it’s all about the lightweight denim shirt – a staple item no woman should be without. In today’s Trend Report, we show you how to accessorize your denim shirt and turn it into a style statement with inspiration from D&G. For their Spring/ Summer 2010 ready to wear collection (which happens to be our 2011 summer here in sunny SA), D&G featured denim as their key piece. Styling it up with shiny, long and loose hair, leopard print accents, tan boots and aviator sunnies. This look is simple and achievable, and if you haven’t already got a denim shirt hanging in your cupboard, go out and get one! Or, steal one from your man. The over sized boyfriend shirt cinched in with a tan belt and rolled up sleeves, makes a huge style statement. Get the look! [post-slideshow] I’ve been obsessed with this look since I saw the first images from the D&G show. Check out how I matched up this look with local items.
