Don’t you just love this weather? Sunny days out in Jozi with a nice chill in the air are my favourite kind! Yes, I’ve fully embraced cozy season and my go-to, casual outfit for every day would look something like this…

Good morning guys! I hope you all had a fab weekend! This weekend I shot another little OOTD, with this totally cute graphic sweat shirt. I love graphic tees, so when I spotted this one at SheIn, I had to have it! For a sweatshirt, it was quite fitted, so I layered it over a white shirt to add more length to my torso – since I don’t like it when tops end just on my hip. Not a good look for an already “hippy” girl ya know what I mean! I think the white shirt with the collar peeking out also made the look a little more pulled together. Still casual, but not overly so! To brighten up my look and make it more weekend cool, I wore my new Dune London Ediamond yellow handbag. It’s not technically a cross-body bag, but it works perfectly as one for me! Then, I just added a fluffy little charm to my bag to add some fun and threw on a pair of ripped up boyfriend jeans, nude pointed flats and some blue accessories. Outfit Details I Woke Up Like This Sweater – Shein on sale! White shirt – Old Khaki (the same one I mentioned in this post) Handbag – Dune London Jeans…

I think this tan fringed cardigan might be one of my favourite purchases this winter. Besides being soft, cozy and very versatile, it will be a great transitional piece that I’m sure I will get lots of wear in Spring… I know, I’m counting down the days to warmer weather already! I love the mix of orange and grey colours, the amazing tribal print at the back, and of course the fringe details! I layered it over an all grey outfit, pulling out some of my old closet favourites like this grey tee shirt, grey skinny jeans and my over the knee boots. I finished the look off with my favourite bag ever, my Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag – probably my best purchase to date! Outfit Details Tassel Cardigan from Sheinside (on sale) Grey T-shirt – Gap (old) Grey Skinny Jeans – Zara (old) Over the Knee Boots – Luella (old) Handbag – Rebecca Minkoff Love Cross Body Bag. Also love this colour Sunglasses – Prada. Also love these Happy Friday lovelies xx

I’m not a huge Pizza fan, but this weekend I was converted when the hubz and I headed out to Braamfontien (again – man I love that place) and discovered the best pizza in town! 86 Public is a seriously cool pizza joint in the heart of Jozi! With a pizza selection and cocktails worthy of praise, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a Saturday in the city! And, they even have a live DJ adding to their cool and hip vibe. With such striking surroundings, and a happy belly, who could resist doing a little OOTD… I picked up this cute graphic tee at Edgars the other day, and I had to have it! I mean, who doesn’t believe in the Selfie? And since we were planning on walking the streets of Jozi, I thought I’d break out my new panama hat. If you ever find yourself in Jozi, make sure you stop past 86 Public for a pizza and cocktails! I highly recommend the Bacon, Fig, Leek and Feta Pizza (doesn’t that sound amazing?) and their Chocolate, Marscapone, Pineapple, Pear, Banana and Strawberry Pizza, was deee-lish! Pizza and Chocolate – who would have thought?! Oh, and their Gin…

The thing I love about Jozi, is there’s always something to do! About two weeks ago, the hubz and I headed to Park Acoustics courtesy of GAP. It’s such a fun vibey event, and definitely a fabulous way to spend your Sunday! Park Acoustics happens every last Sunday of every month at the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria. August’s event took place inside the Fort, and it was a really great way to watch some cool local acts including; Boo!, New Academics, Momentss & Manny Walters and Pretoria locals George Town. It was great fun, but we were kinda silly and didn’t come prepared for the sun, so sadly didn’t get to see all the bands. But seriously, 27 degrees in Jozi in September! I didn’t expect that! I packed my trusty “on-the-go” picnic basket (Salticrax, Smoked Oysters and Tabasco Sauce) and we watched the show from what seemed to be the “kings seats”, on the edge of the fort walls, looking down at the acts 🙂 Next month it’s going to be even better, and I will at least take sunscreen and a hat! I can’t wait for the 28th! I’ve added the flyer to the end of the post, but stick around because I’ll be hosting a…

Towards the end of the season, I always feel uninspired to go shopping for new clothes! I guess you could say, that I’m over winter and all I can think about is summer. So I really don’t want to spend money on more bulky winter clothes. Even though, I still need to dress warm. So what do you do?! Layer! I found the most amazing tops for layering at Old Khaki the other day. They are lightweight and perfect for layering, but would also make great pieces on their own to wear in the Spring. I especially LOVE the cream cut out 3/4 top! I can see it being worked into many outfit options. Picture it layered over a crisp, white shirt with an amazing collar! YES Cream Daisy Cut & Sew 3/4 Sleeve Top (R350) from Old Khaki. Navy and Milk Striped Top (R299) from Old Khaki. Jeans, GAP 1969 Thunderstruck always straight jeans, snood (old) from Old Khaki, Sneakers – Converse, Bag – Knomo

One thing about Jozi winters, it may be cold outside, but the days are filled with glorious sunshine! Just when I thought I had found my “it pair” of GAP jeans, I find these! I love the subtle destructed wash, and I do prefer a skinny leg – makes cuffing them look a little neater.   How cool is this tee? (also GAP). Since I am obsessed with Camo and Stripes this tee was like a match made in heaven. I didn’t love it when I saw it on the mannequin, but when I tried it on, that was it – I was sold! To keep the look “weekender”, I went with my reliable Converse High Tops and my new, awesome Knomo Great Portland bag. Then, I just added this everything goes blue collar necklace (from TopShop) and my Ray-Ban Cats 5000! These sunnies are super cool! Love the retro look so much! So, how did you guys spend your weekend? [signature]

You know when you find THAT pair of perfect jeans and you just want to live in them every day? Well, I found them! I can’t get enough of these blue ripped, Thunderstruck jeans from GAP. Although I really don’t like straight leg jeans (I’m more of a skinny or boot leg kinda gal), this pair of Real Straight jeans ticks all the boxes for me. Beautiful colour, distressed look, great fit and even though the leg is straight, I can cuff them and still get a peek of the gorgeous inseam. For me, this look is almost “boyfriend”, but a little less bulky. I love boyfriend jeans, but they often look a bit sloppy on my short frame. Take a look at how I styled these jeans, with a little bit of leopard, gold accessories and fudge shoes with cute, gold ankle straps… Jeans: GAP 1969 Thunderstruck Real Straight Jeans, Leopard Belt – GAP, Sheer Leopard Top (and Oldie from YDE), Fudge flats – Vince Camuto (Available at Edgars), Bracelet – Accessorize, Bag – Kipling.

Slowly but surely winter is creeping up on us! And yesterday, I could feel it in Durbs – Even if it was only for a brief period. Although a short burst of cold, it surely got me thinking about outfits for winter. This year, instead of blending into the blandness of black, brown and grey, I’m going to inject pops of colour, which certainly brightens my mood! Since I do love wearing black, I’ll be adding colour pops with my accessories; like bags, scarves and snoods. This look is so very me. It’s casual, laid back, a little bid edgy and a little playful too. What do you guys think? Outfit Details: Coral Snood – GAP, Leather Jacket: Old Khaki (hubby bought it for my birthday last year and I love it so much, I want the tan and brown one too!),  Top – Sassy Chic, Pants – Woolworths (from last year’s winter collection), Suede Sling Bag – GAP, Leather Boots – Tsonga, Sunglasses – Giorgio Armani. I find wearing denim on denim a little tricky! Do you? I don’t know why, but I feel that too much denim, on me at least, looks a little too stiff and uniform. As in, like a prison guard uniform. If you find this too, try mixing contrasting shades of denim/ chambray on your top and bottom, instead of one solid denim shade. You’ll still get that denim-on-denim look, but it will be far less overpowering. Here, I mixed a navy Perfect Oxford Shirt from Gap with denim shorts, nude wedges and a leopard print belt. To keep this look casual and cool, I rolled up the sleeves on my shirt and tucked it one side of shirt to reveal my leopard print belt. This shirt is really great because it has exposed buttons all the way down (to just above the belly button),  and then a nice clean line throughout. So, when you tuck it in, it still looks great and you don’t have buttons pushing into the waistline and adding bulk. Outfit Details Denim Shirt – GAP, Denim Shorts – Mr Price, Wedges – Via Uno, Necklace – TopShop, Bracelet – Raphaella Booz, Sunglasses – Versace, Leopard Print Belt – Mr Price.…

We’ve really had the most amazing weather in Durban this past week! In fact, I think it’s been the best “Christmas Week” (weather wise) in ages! The sun has been shining and with two days off, I spent a lot of time by my pool – which doesn’t get used very often. I got to wear my new GAP Denim Cut-off shorts, which are so comfy – I love the frayed edges – and my Tiger print tee, which I think compliments my new crazy ombre hair colour (inspired by Jessica Alba).       T-Shirt: Jay-Jays (new)  |  Shorts: GAP (new)  |  Bikini Top: Stuttafords (old), Sunglasses: Giorgio Armani (new)  |  Sandals: Woolworths (new)  |   Evil Eye Bracelet: From Greece (old)  |  Beaded Bracelets: From Mr Price (old)  |  Necklace: From my mom (very old)  |  Trilby Hat: Billabong (old)  |  Beach Bag: Lou Harvey (old)  | On my Nails: CND Vinylux Desert Poppy and Sun Bleached from the Open Road Collection [signature]

A perfect nautical combination; stripes, sea, blue and red! The Durban Marina is such a beautiful place to see, and with the gorgeous weather we had this past weekend, we decided to head down there and enjoy the view of the yachts. Since I was feeling summery and nautical, I decided to wear my new GAP striped maxi dress. I love this dress! It’s so easy-breasy and makes for the perfect dress to take with you on holiday! It can be dressed up with a pair of heels and layered jewellery, or dressed down for a Sunday afternoon with flats and a bold pair of sunnies. This dress can easily be worn entirely on it’s own, however, I wanted to give it a little more! I dressed it up with a nude plaited leather belt. Instead of looping the belt through the buckle, I just wrapped it around and let the buckle hang loose. I’ve never worn anything like this before, and I quite liked the way such a simple detail changed the look entirely. To finish off this outfit, I wore my two tone bag (which had the perfect contrast of red and nude), simple flats with a rope detail and hearts,…
