Hi There

Wanderlust Tag

Wanderlust Tag

I’ve been blogging for seven years, and can you believe I’ve never done a “tag” post? Although I love reading them! So, when I saw the Wanderlust Tag on Superficial Girl’s blog (read her tag here), I thought it would be fun to do one too! Also, I recently started a new Instagram account (dimidoodles), where I’m posting all my travel pics, so really feeling the Wanderlust effect these days, reminiscing at old travel pics! 1. Your most treasured passport stamp? My recent trip to Dubai. It was an absolutely epic adventure and one that I never dreamed of experiencing – like a rock star! It was truly living the high life from start to finish. 2. Can you recite your passport # from memory if asked? Erm, no! But if I memorize it maybe it will make more travel manifest…. Here’s to the power of positive thinking… 3. Preferred method of travel: planes, trains or automobiles? I love flying! I know flying freaks a lot of people out, but honestly, I love it! Of course halfway into the flight I’m over it and just can’t wait to get out and on the ground – unless I fly Business, in which case I never really want…

My Snapshots from Crete – Greece’s Island Paradise

It’s been two weeks since the hubs and I have been back from holiday. Things things have been so manic trying to catch-up, I’ve only now had a chance to even look through my holiday pics. Since I was organizing my snapped memories, I thought I’d share some of my fave pics with you guys. There are a lot, so I’ve split them into two posts, the second one I’ll post on Friday. I didn’t take my “big boy” camera along with all the time, which I regret now – but thankfully we both had our phones with us, so we could at least snap some memories. Today I’ll share some pics from our island holiday in Crete,

Bon Voyage, Adios Amigos, See Ya

Bon Voyage, Adios Amigos, See Ya

By the time you read this post, I’ll be on a beach, sipping Frappe’s and getting my summer tan on! I’m off to Greece for a little European holiday! Don’t worry though, nothing will change on StyleScoop! I’ve been working like a crazy mo-fo (and drinking way too much coffee) to ensure that posts will be loaded for you while I am away! So you’ll still be able to log in every day and catch up on the daily scoop! Aren’t I the best? While StyleScoop will say updated, I am going to be on holiday, so I wont be answering any emails. Don’t stress if you don’t get an answer! It’s probably becuase I’m on a blissful island in the Mediterranean! That, or getting my annual fix of Starbucks, Frappe, Souvlaki or Mythos beer (even though I don’t drink beer)! Anyhoo! If you want to keep updated with me (and check out all the awesome things I’ll be snapping in Greece), be sure to follow me on Instagram. You can find me there under the username stylescoopdimi xoxo Dimi

I got my Ray-Ban’s on…

I got my Ray-Ban’s on…

and as Rihanna would say… “I’m feeling hella cool”! I’ve always loved Ray-Ban sunglasses, because lets face it, Ray-Ban’s are hella cool! Ray-Ban aviators on the other hand are even cooler… Think Top Gun, Jennifer Aniston, just about every rock star and even our very own Locknville, who are all Ray-Ban aviator fans. Never mind the coolness, these are the perfect sunnies to take on holiday thanks to the super slim case. I took mine with me on holiday to Greece and Dubai and I could fit them -plus more- in my sling bag, which is another holiday must! Here are some holiday pics from my trip… Here I am in Athens at Syntagma Square. Syntagma is in front of the Greek Parliament, which also used to be the King’s Palace back in the day. It’s a great tourist attraction and if you’re in Athens you should go by and check out the changing of the Evzones’s. Evzones are super tall (as you can see from my pic) guards that stand by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. You can stand next to the Evzone and have your picture taken, but are warned by the Army solider on guard, that you’re not allowed to touch or speak to them. As you can see,…

TREND REPORT: Stacking Bangles, Creating an Arm Party

TREND REPORT: Stacking Bangles, Creating an Arm Party

I love accessories and my fave ones are bangles and bracelets. They are so much fun and a trend I’ve really started embracing this season is stacking up bangles, creating delightful displays of arm candy. To show you guys how to “stack ’em up”, I hauled my own collection of bangles and created some stacking effects. You can do this with just about any type of bangles, and although I’ve used a lot of gold tones (as it looks better on my olive skin), you can use the same stacking technique with silver, black, coloured or even natural/ wooden bangles. Go wild, get creative and stack ’em up! The trick to bangle stacking success is to mix up different textures and patterns and try to work with bangles that are in the same colour family. It’s super simple to do, just play around with different sizes, textures and positioning and you too can create a party on your arm. STACK ‘EM UP Here, I’ve stacked up five bangles. The first one I bought in Greece, the snake cuff came from Sass Diva and the three bangles on the end were part of an Aldo collection of bangles that I bought…

Label Love – Raxevsky

Label Love – Raxevsky

Every year when a family member comes from Greece, I put in my request for my favourite fashion label, Raxevsky. I phone my mom up, send her a list of “please get these for me” and after much dreaming and drooling, I’ve got some nice new clothes to play with 🙂 Their summer 2011 collection is absolutely breathtaking! I can’t decide on one outfit, two or the whole collection. I want them all (damn you budget)! But, on a more serious note check out some of these pieces from the current collection … Prepare to fall in love… Amazing right? Now if only someone would just go to Greece so I could carry on with my tradition 🙂
