Smells Like Christmas

Oh la la, it’s December and ya know what that means… CHRISTMAS TIME is here! I love Christmas, especially the smell of Christmas…. Gingerbread cookies baking in the oven, the smell of pine trees and eggnog!

The only problem is well, we live in South Africa! So, Christmas smells for us usually lean toward braaied meat and HTH. Not very Christmassy if you ask me. HAHA!

But fear not. If you yearn for a true Christmas smell, I’ve rounded up a few goodies you can get to fake that Christmas smell and make your home smell amazing for the holidays…

On My Nightstand

One of my beauty besties, @ChereenGibson, Beauty Editor at O, The Oprah Magazine has recently started her own blog called, For The Beauty Of It (forthebeautyofit.blogspot.com). Jo Malone I love

Yes, Yes, I know, I love everything, but I really, really, ree-hee-healy love Jo Malone. It’s the ultimate pamper product. If you follow me on twitter, you’ll know that I’ve got a few new goodies to share with you from Jo Malone, but for now, check out these Limited Edition Jo Malone David Hicks candles. The late British decorator, David Hicks is considered one of the most influential interior designers. Jo Malone collaborated with Hicks son, also an interior decorator, Ashely Hicks to bring you three limited edition, 200g candles in distinct David Hicks geo-print styling. Gorgeous for any room and to invigorate any mood, these candles are available in Lime Basil & Mandarin, Red Roses and Pomegranate Noir. I got to sample the gorgeous Lime Basil & Mandarin scented candle from this collection. It has this sweet yet citrusy scent that reminds me somewhat of a sexy man’s cologne. I also love the lime green print. I wish I had six of these to make a gorgeous set of glasses after I’ve indulged in 45 hours of pure scented pleasure (that’s the estimated burning time per candle). Can’t wait make thi the signature scent of my new home – yippie!!!
