In the last couple of years, plant parenting has become a major thing, and I for one am glad! I love, love, love plants! In fact, if I had my way, I’d turn my entire house into a full on jungle, but then I think, hello spiders and I’m like errrr, no thanks! So my gardening is reserved for outdoors, with some house plants to keep me happy.

As someone who enjoys digging my hands in the soil and watching mother nature bless me with her bounty, I’ve put together a little gift guide which I think fellow plant lovers (no matter their level of gardening enthusiasm) will love.

Slowly but surely winter is creeping up on us! And yesterday, I could feel it in Durbs – Even if it was only for a brief period. Although a short burst of cold, it surely got me thinking about outfits for winter. This year, instead of blending into the blandness of black, brown and grey, I’m going to inject pops of colour, which certainly brightens my mood! Since I do love wearing black, I’ll be adding colour pops with my accessories; like bags, scarves and snoods. This look is so very me. It’s casual, laid back, a little bid edgy and a little playful too. What do you guys think? Outfit Details: Coral Snood – GAP, Leather Jacket: Old Khaki (hubby bought it for my birthday last year and I love it so much, I want the tan and brown one too!),  Top – Sassy Chic, Pants – Woolworths (from last year’s winter collection), Suede Sling Bag – GAP, Leather Boots – Tsonga, Sunglasses – Giorgio Armani. When fashion and style icon Alexa Chung wears a trend, everybody wants it! At last years’ Brit Fashion Awards, Alexa rocked the red carpet with her leather effect nails, leaving nail fashionistas ooogling at her fingertips! Well, the good news is that you can get your paws on this awesome nail polish from Nails Inc thanks to Edgars, who will be the exclusive stockist of this internationally loved nail brand. I am obsessed with the Nails Inc. Leather Effect nail polish as well as their Bling it on Leather & Skulls and Bling it On Rebel kits! Inspired by texture, this nailpolish that looks like ordinary polish when applied, dries to form an authentic leather texture. Then, for the cherry on top, you can amp up the rock and roll look by adding bling skulls and Swarovski elements. The best part… you don’t need to go into a salon to achieve this look! Whether you’re after the Leather Effect Polish or you want to bling out our nails, you can do it all on your own! Leather Effect nailpolish comes in three fabulous shades; black (Noho), tan (Soho Mews) or my current favourite – an ox blood/ mulberry shade called Shorteditch Lane, which I’m wearing in…

Everyone who knows me or reads my articles knows I love shoes. For the whole of December (and yes I am starting early :)), every Tuesday Ill feature a new pair of #shoeporn, because even though we can’t have them all, a girls’ allowed to dream. Today’s Shoe Porn goes to these sexy Nicholas Kirkwood Lace Booties from his Fall/ Winter 2010 collection. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them in the September issue of American Vogue and couldn’t stop drooling – I’m sure you can see why! Duh These babies will set you back about R6K, but they are so well worth it. That’s if you are willing to sacrifice food for a little leather and lace and loads of oh-la-la! What’s it gonna be? ♥ Heaven would be these babies placed firmly on my feet ♥ Oh and, of course Sarah Jessica Parker would have a pair. SJP wore hers at Fashion’s Night Out in September 2010.
