I’m sure the guys will agree with me in saying that, today there are so many awesome options when it comes to buying him gifts! No longer do the poor men in our lives need to suffer with undies and socks (although there are really cool socks out there these days). If you want to get him something he will love for Christmas, then this guide is just the one you’ve been looking for. I’ve tried to include the guys-guy, the adventure junkie, the sports fanatic, the tech lover, the guy who loves smelling good, even a little something for the guy who likes to make his own beer! If you’re looking for something under R200, then be sure to check out this gift guide. For today though, I thought I’d focus on gifts that are a little more expensive, yet not overly so…

Prevention is better than cure! That’s why I like to get my skin ready for winter by adding a few products into my daily routine! Sure it takes a little extra work, but since this our second winter back in Jozi (Durban doesn’t really get all that cold), I’ve mastered what my skin needs and I don’t want to be caught off guard again… Dry patchy shoulders and dead skin, I’m talking to you!

Ok ladies, it’s time to start thinking about those summer bodies! No more hiding behind oversized sweaters and leggings, it’s time to show some skin! Scary thought, I know! That’s why today, I’ve rounded up a few Summer Body Rockers that will help you get your body ready for the season of sun, fun, sand and sea… Show your skin some love… with L’Occitane’s brand new, blissfully beautiful Almond Youthful Body Velvet Balm (R710 for 200ml) and Almond Youthful Body Velvet Serum (R660 for 100ml). If you’re looking to indulge, forget chocolate and bubbly and trade them in for this healthy skin ritual. It smells, looks and most importantly, feels heavenly! Formulated with a regenerating complex of almond native cells, The Velvet Serum contains Vitamin C to help even out the skin and reveal its youthfulness, while the Velvet Balm provides and immediate sensation of comfort. Both leave your skin feeling like a million bucks, and it’s a huge bonus that this collection helps to target the five signs of skin aging, which include; dryness, skin slackening, lack of tonicity, fine lines and skin irregularities. Did you know that thanks to its deep roots and leaves (from which very little moisture evaporates), the almond tree is highly resistant to drought? L’Occitane’s…

If you’re looking to spoil yourself with something beautiful, I’ve rounded up my seven favourite high-end beauty products, that are totally worth the splurge! Clarisonic Plus Yes, yes, I know! A Clarisonic is a pretty pricey beauty splurge, but trust me when I say there is nothing else like it on the market. Or at least, that I’ve tried anyway! If you’re planning on investing in one (remember Christmas is just around the corner so don’t forget to ask Santa) then I’d really recommend that you put your money towards the Clarisonic Plus.  It’s the Crème de la crème of Clarisonic’s and although it’s the most expensive option, the fact that it has two brush heads that you can use on your face and body, makes it worth it. I love using mine to cleanse all the makeup gunk off my face at night and I use my body brush to polish my shoulders and arms, which makes them feel soft and beautiful. To read more about this fabulous device, check out my blog post on it here. Price: R3499.00 Available at Stuttafords Chanel CC Cream Without a doubt, Chanel CC Cream is T-H-E best CC cream you will ever come across. I’ve tried a ton, and while there have been good…

A little while back, I attended the launch of L’OCCITANE‘s new collection, Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc. Now that the collection is available to us in SA,  I wanted to share this gorgeous range with you. Part of their La Collection de Grasse, Iris Bleu & Iris Blanc is a subtle, sophisticated range, where the main note, Iris, mirrors a mix of cool and warm. Beautifully packaged, this collection is by far my favourite Iris based collection to date. I was never a huge fan of Iris in the past. I just found the smell a little too sharp for my taste. With this collection however, the contrast of White Iris (in the heart) and Iris Pallida (blue flower) in the base, makes for a truly beautiful scent! It smells more like a natural garden, rather than a single, overpowering scent. It’s absolutely mesmerizing and I’ve been wearing it a lot lately. The fragrance opens with blackcurrant and citrus notes that give it a lovely burst of freshness. In the heart, white iris blends seamlessly with ylang-ylang and peach, adding a bit of floral fruitiness as the fragrance develops. And in the base, blue iris is complimented with cedar and…

There are so many new skincare launches,  new brands and even some older  products that I’ve tried for the time. So, I thought I’d put them all into one beauty scoop for ya to enjoy. These also make for great products as we head into winter … Eau Thermale Avène The fabulous French range with its iconic Thermal Spring Water is here! The entire range, exclusive to selected Clicks nationwide, is made using the key ingredient – Avène Thermal Spring Water, which is located deep within the Haut Languedoc Natural Park. This natural spring water contains active molecules that originate from a fascinating micorflora that only survives in the extremely deep, pure crystal-clear Avène water. This is a completely new brand for me, and so far I am loving the Avène Thermal Spring Water (R149,95 for 150ml). It can be used for a multitude of things like; removing makeup, soothing tired eyes, boosting skincare efficacy, soothing overheated skin, setting your makeup and even calming razor burn. BABOR Another exciting skincare range is from German brand BABOR. They specialize in precision skincare designed to renew the skin. BABOR is an international company with a long standing family tradition (since 1956). It’s manufactured and packaged in state-of-the-art production facilities in Aachen, Germany. They are famous for…

Be honest now, how much love do you give your feet? Summer, Winter, Autumn or Spring, one thing remains – your feet will always need a little extra loving care. So today, I wanted to share three little things that will make your feet smile and my really easy routine for happy feet that you can do too! You will need Plush, thick socks – in any colour of course Indulgent Body Cream (or foot cream if you prefer) Scholl’s Velvet Smooth Electronic Foot File Feet up Routine Every night, after I take a nice relaxing bath, I dry my feet and literally slather them in an indulgent body cream. Can winter please just come already? I know, I know, summer is amazing blah blah, blah, but I really want to start wearing winter clothes again! One of the things I was not looking forward to with winter however, was having dry, dull skin. Especially since winter in Jozi is a lot more drying to the skin than what I was used to in Durbs! Not any more though, since I got to play around with L’OCCITANE‘s new limited edition, Shea Whipped Collection. In two words, … its freaking amazing The texture, for both the Body and Hand Cream is incredible, and it’s not just called “whipped” to make it sound fancy, it really is whipped! One of the steps in the production of L’OCCITANE Shea butter, the women of Burkina Faso whip the paste to give it it’s mousse-like texture. I am truly, madly, deeply in love with the CREME CORPS (Body Cream), and just want to eat it all up – it looks that good! The packaging is beautiful and lightweight, so this little guy will definitely be going with me should the travel bug bite, and lets hope that it does! The Hand Cream has the exact…

It’s been a smouldering hot summer, but before we head on into Autumn, I wanted to share some of my favourite summer scents that I’ve been rotating throughout this gorgeous season. When the heat rises, I tend to gravitate towards fresh, bright, softer and more delicate scents. I’m not a fan of sickly sweet-floral or candy scents, but I do love the smell of freshly cut flowers or scents that remind me of summer gardens. YSL Black Opium One of my most worn scents this summer, especially for night, has got to be YSL Black Opium. This scent is soooo gorgeous and addictive! I guess the coffee bean note gives me an instant mind boost. I also love how it develops into a mix of jasmine and light vanilla before settling into woody and patchouli notes. HUGO BOSS MA VIE For day, I like to wear HUGO BOSS MA VIE. This scent is beautifully packaged in a gorgeous pastel pink bottle and is all about playfulness with a powerful dash of sexy. It opens with an invograting fresh note of Cactus Blossom, combined with notes of Suave Pink Freesia, Jasmine Petals and Delicate Rose Bud. L’Occitane Fleurs de Cerisier A…
