Mediterranean Inspiration – Inglot Aqua-Blue Culture

There is nothing like a summer vacation on the Med!  The gorgeous blue skies and sandy beaches paired with the crystal clear teal and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea! If you can’t get to the Med to enjoy summer, what better way than to bring the gorgeous colours of the Mediterranean to you? Check out this fantabulous new collection from Inglot called Aqua-Blue Culture. It’s the perfect combination of electric blues with Med inspired greens for eyes and nails, and for the lips, a pop of coral to finish it all off. I got to play with some of the goodies in this collection and absolutely love it! The Nail Enamel (989) is the perfect mix of green and blue. It goes on beautifully and gives your nails a true-to-the-bottle colour, which I love! For the eyes, I got to play with colours 316 (green) and 315 (blue), both of which are vibrant, matte shadows. The combination of these two shadows also create the most electric look, especially when you finish if off with Inglot’s Colour Play Mascara in blue. For the lips, what better way to finish off green and blue eyes with pretty coral lips? Inglot Sleeks Cream in 102 is a lovely light coral that…

Green & Gold Springbok Inspired Looks by @InglotSA

Green & Gold Springbok Inspired Looks by @InglotSA

I asked Inglot‘s Brand Consultant and National Trainer, Luciano dos Santos to send me some tips on how to create perfect Sprinkbok inspired green and gold eye makeup. Luciano says that “green and gold are great colours to use together.” He also warns that you should be very careful not to over do it or else your look could end up looking over dramatic – unless of course, that’s what you’re going for! Luciano sent us three looks that you can try this Rugby season to support our Springboks in style! Green & Gold Makeup Look 1 Brush a frosted neutral(creamy colour ) with a golden reflect over the eyelid and blend softly up onto the brow bone. Line the bottom eye line with a frosted green (either chatreuse or even a moss green) blend into a faded line. Finish of by adding a black liner around the rim of the eye – top and bottom. Apply a few layers of mascara for long and thick lashes. Green & Gold Makeup Look 2 Apply a satin finish or matte green over the eyelid. Any shade of green is suitable for this look. Apply a darker colour green in the crease…

Glam Rock beauty

Glam Rock beauty

Glam rock is a fun, sexy way to wear your makeup. Glam up the eyes and leave the lips nude for the day and then transform into a sexy siren by adding a pop of bright colour to your lips.  Lady Gaga has nailed glam-rock to perfection, with nude lips and diva eyes, but Christina Aguilera rocks it with clean, porcelin skin, dramatic eyes and intense lips. It’s easy to create the glam rock look when you have the right products.  I’ve been playing with a few brands this past week, testing them out, trying on new looks and really having fun with the whole glam-rock look, to bring you this week’s beauty feature… Rimmel London Glam Eyes Professional Liquid Liner in Aqua Glow is great for applying precision liner to your lids and the colour is simply stunning.  I really like doing the whole “carbon copy” eye with a black gel liner (see 7) and then adding a stoke of colour with this product to the outer corners.  The easy to use applicator makes it simple to use.  I also like applying just a bit of this color to the ends of my lashes lashes after applying mascara and…
