Hi There

I’m Lost in a Daisy Dream

I’m Lost in a Daisy Dream

Marc Jacobs is a legend! I mean, he’s an amazing designer, but his perfumes really are like having a piece of his very own, signature art, right in your hand! And they smell amazing! Take Daisy Dream for example. The bottle alone is probably one of the most special bottles I have ever seen, and the juice – OMG the juice is absolutely dreamy! It’s refreshing to find a “floral scent” that’s not packaged in pink, but rather a beautiful baby blue, adorned with delicate white flowers, inspired by blue skies and fields of daisies… For an Eau de Toilette, Daisy Dream has a surprisingly long staying power. Personally, I always tend to go for the EDP version, because I like my scent to stay stronger for longer, but this EDT lasted for a good couple of hours on my skin. Daisy Dream is a soft, fruity floral that is much softer and more delicate than you’d expect. It opens with bright top notes of blackberry, grapefruit and pear and develops into an airy, delicate scent, complimented by heart notes of Jasmine, Lychee and Blue Wisteria, before settling into a dreamy base of white woods, musk and coconut water. It truly is a magical scent that makes me long for…

Get it Now! The Limited Edition Marc Jacobs for Coca-Cola Light Collection

Get it Now! The Limited Edition Marc Jacobs for Coca-Cola Light Collection

To mark the celebration of 30 years, Coca-Cola Light have teamed up with Marc Jacobs, their new Creative Director for 2013, to bring out some exciting and funky new packaging for their cans and bottles. The collection of three whimsical illustrations has been inspired by three decades that celebrate women through the 80’s, 90’s and the “naughties” . ‘I Heart ‘80s’ embodies the rise of the empowered woman in all her 1980s glory. Marc Jacobs captures her in a timeless and classic style, with a strong rebellious current, which also portrays the designer’s love of theatre. The bow tie and shining lights of Broadway incorporated into the design also reference the spectacular launch of  Coca- Cola light® at Radio City NYC, where the world’s first diet soft drink made its US debut in 1982. ‘I Heart ‘90s’ creative is a dynamic reinterpretation of the decade, showcasing the extravagant attitude of the era where fashion, music and art collided in a glamorous exploration of strong femininity and daring attitude. Marc’s signature swallow motif adds a romantic element to the design and features iconic ‘90s fashion accessories including the exaggerated couture trilby hat and treasured stiletto heel. ‘I Heart ‘00s’ design is a playful and lighthearted illustration of the sporty-cool…

Marc Jacobs – A Springbok fan?

Marc Jacobs – A Springbok fan?

With our boys in green and gold already in New Zealand defending their world cup title, everyone is a little excited about upcoming rugby world cup. I was, as usual feasting my eyes on some online shopping sites, despite vowing never to shop online again (thanks to a whoping 40% customs charge!). Anyway, whilst on my no spending shopping spree, I came across these wedges by Marc Jacobs’ more affordable line, Marc by Marc Jacobs. Check out the springbokkie on the side! And they even look like our dark green (although they are black) and gold colours! Could Marc Jacobs be a fan of our boys? They are called Wertmuller, have a leather upper and sole and if you want to own a pair you can buy them from endless.com They cost $330.00, which is around R2400.00. Would you buy them?

The Louis Vuitton stores in South Africa (J’burg and Capetown) have the Monogramoflage range available right now.

Victoria Beckam

Victoria Beckam

My ultimate style icon, and fashionista extraordinaire, Victoria Beckham – AKA “Posh-Spice” was spotted at this years Fashion week in New York, sporting a brand new hair style. This chick is absolutely gorgeous and I can’t think of a hairstyle that wont suit her – It looks gorgeous!

Mrs Becks was spotted arm-in-arm with another style diva – Jennifer Lopez at Marc Jacobs’ 2009 collection previewing. Posh was there to spot the fashions (of course), but Posh also launched her own collection, featuring 10 signature styles.
