Yellow is such a hot and trendy shade for summer nails, but finding the right yellow can be tough. Too light and it can end up making you look sick instead of stylish! This yellow is purrrrfect. Its from Sally Hansen, Xtreme Wear Nail Colour in Mellow Yellow and I love it! It glides on easily and after three coats, my nails are brighter than a banana! How cool is that? Sally Hansen Extreme Wear Nail Colour retails at R89.95

I love, love, love blue nail polish and have been hunting for this particular shade of blue since forever! OPI No Room For The Blues is by far, my favouite blue nail polish shade. It kinda reminds me of the Smurfs, and that’s exactly the look I was going for! The formula is fine and applies really well, although you do need at least two coats to get the shade right. I don’t mind though, because even with two coats it doesn’t chip off easily. Even without a top coat, I managed two days totally chip free. What I do love about it, is that the shade is true to the colour of the bottle. I hate buying nail polishes that look bright and vibrant in the bottle, but don’t come out like that on your nails. This shade of blue is rich and vibrant and has it’s own unique shine. I love it! OPI nail polishes are great and although I’ve only used two of them so far, I’m very impressed with them. They are available for R130.

Maybelline have just launched a fabulous range of nail colours for all you nail polish lovers out there. Ten exciting shades to suit any mood! Take a look at the all new Mini Colorama collection… These high gloss nail polishes are designed to be durable, flexible and move with your nail to prevent chipping and peeling. Ill confirm that later after I paint my nails in one of the colours, I’m thinking Party Blue would be so cool! The formula is super light, which means, yep you guessed it, you need at least three coats to get it looking vibrant, but once you apply your third coat, nails are good to go! As you know, here at StyleScoop we’re obsessed with nail polish! Today, I’m wearing this gorgeous colour from Tip Top called “Cotton Beige”.  It’s a gorgeous, neutral colour that looks amazing on hands and feet. I found that a lot of very pale nail colours are difficult to apply, and you generally need a few coats to make them look anything like the colour of the bottle. This one is great; it glides on and in just two coats, you get a solid, true colour that’s perfect for summer. Imagine it with a tanned skin – mmmm! Tip Top is one of my favrouite nail polish brands, not only because it goes on so well and gives me about two days wear – which is a lot considering how much keyboard banging I do – but it’s also so inexpensive you can really afford to have gorgeous nails every day. Tip Top nail chic is available at Clicks stores nationwide. Comment below, let me know what you think of it xo Dimi
