I’m pretty lazy when it comes to prepping and concealing my eyes properly! I know, I know…. I should, but it’s just one of those things… My skin tends to get kinda oily, especially in this heat, so piling on too much “product” (eye cream, concealer etc) often makes making-up a bit of a mission. So I usually just moisturize my whole face and then apply foundation. Lately, I’ve been using the new BB Cream Eyes from Smashbox. It’s pretty amazing… A BB Cream, but for your eyes. It gives you all the benefits of BB cream; fades dark circles, reduces puffiness, smoothes fine lines/  wrinkles and improves firmness, while at the same time priming, protecting, concealing, hydrating and illuminating the eyes. WHEW! It’s an all in one solution. Pretty cool. The other thing that I like is that it’s a great on-the-go product, so you can stick it in your handbag if you need a quick eye-awakening boost in an instant. It comes in four shades; Fair, Light/Medium, Medium and Dark. On my skin, which is a more medium dark than medium, the Light/ Medium shade is perfect. It helped to brighten up the area under my eye, and love…

Blogging for five years (going on six) has taught me many things. One being, that no matter how expensive or how amazing the makeup, if your skin looks like crap, well, your makeup probably will too! Thankfully we live in an era where skincare-skincare-skincare has been drummed into our brains, much like that annoying “next customer please” announcement at Woolies. (You did the voice didn’t you?!). Moral of the story… Invest in good skincare, and take that extra step! One of my all time fave skincare brands, and the skincare I prefer to use on my skin, is Filorga. Every product these guys launch has made me love the brand even more. And now I have a new love since I got to sample their amazing new, Skin Perfusion Cleansing Oil. The Perfusion range has been designed to “take the salon home” if you will. So, you know those “awesome products” you get treated to at salon? Well, that’s basically Perfusion – A salon treat at home! Skin Perfusion Cleansing Oil is an oil cleanser that you apply to dry skin, and then, when you add water it turns into a deep cleansing product. It works beautifully, but since I often do crazy eyes with a ton of…

After posting a sneak peek of the new Chanel 2014 eye collection, I received a few products from this collection to try out… One of my stand-out palettes from this collection was Tisse Vendome! Simply because all the colours looked amazing on the press visuals, I really love the peachy colour in the palette and I don’t have anything like this in my collection! When I got to see the actual product, I loved it even more. The colours come out beautifully when swatched on the skin and I really do love that peachy shade! See what I mean? Pretty right?! The second palette I got to sample was Tisse Venitien. I am really glad I got this palette too because it is absolutely gorgeous! Being a green/hazel-eyed gal, I usually steer away from green eyeshadow. I feel that it doesn’t do anything exciting for my eyes, unless the palette itself is really exciting, and the shades of green are really different! Well, this palette is very exciting indeed. The green is almost bluey green so it really makes the eyes pop. And that silver (third shade on my swatches) if friggin’ amazing! It’s like a burst of metallic silver sparkle,…
