In my seven years of blogging, today’s post is probably one of the most uncomfortable ones I’ve ever done! I’m showing you my naked skin, sans foundation or coverup! Going foundation free is not something you’d catch me doing willingly! For years, I’ve suffered with quite prominent and very annoying pigmentation/ melasma on my face and I tell you, it ain’t a pretty sight! If you’ve been following my skincare and beauty reviews on StyleScoop, you’ll know I’m not a huge fan of toners. I find that toners are often very harsh for my skin and instead of giving me radiant skin, they leave my skin feeling over sensitive, with a burning sensation. When I received a bottle of REN Clarifying Toning Lotion I almost gave the product a miss, but thought what the heck and tried it! I must say, I am most impressed with this toner and have made it part of my daily skincare routine. REN Clarifying Toning lotion is completely alcohol free and doesn’t contain any harsh, synthetic chemicals. It leaves my complexion looking refreshed, clearer and “wide awake”, just like the label says. My skin type is combination, so it tends to get oily on the T-Zone, and dry on the cheeks, chin and forehead. I can’t say I’m a big fan of organic skincare. Don’t get me wrong, its great for your skin and the environment etc, but a lot of the products I’ve sampled really haven’t impressed me that much, probably because I can’t get passed the icky scent of a lot of them.
