Skirts in Full Swing

I’m trying to step out of my style comfort zone. For a girl who wears jeans-jeans-and-more-jeans, it’s a hard thing to do. Trust me! Lately, full swing midi skirts have really caught my eye. They look so glam, effortless and stylish. So, when I spotted this beaut at Forever New, hesitant at first, I tried it on and fell in love with it! Everything about it is perfecto! The cut is very flattering on my frame. The high waist doesn’t make me look short and frumpy (which happens to me with midi skirts) and I love that it’s not solid black. The horizontal “burnout” stripes give it a nice vintage feel, and keep it looking stylish! Here’s a few virtual looks I’ve put together on how I’d style this fabulous skirt… Ladylike Lace Crop Top: Forever New. Snakeskin Laceup Heels: ZARA. My favourite way to style a full midi skirt like this one, would be with lace up heels! I love the effect the laces give to this skirt and transform it from 50’s style to modern glam.
