Insta-Scoop: My Week in Instagrams

Good morning fashionistars! Hope you all had a great weekend and that the start to your new week is a good one! As always, here’s a quick wrap of my week in Instagrams for you to enjoy… I discovered an awesome li’l shop at La Lucia Mall called Lovisa. It’s a full on accessories shop, kind of like Diva, with the most amazing rings on the planet!  I snapped up some pics of the ring-bling, my favourite being the tribal inspired black, gold and white ring on the left! On Tuesday I was invited to the Luxottica Buyers Day, a chance for me to check out the amazing new sunglasses collections that will be in store for us soon!  If you didn’t already know, I am obsessed with sunglasses!!! I guess you could say that appreciate the little things in life… shoes, handbags and sunglasses! In the top left pic I’ve snapped up three of my favourite Dolce & Gabbana sunglass styles – on top right you’ll see the one pair a little bit better. This pair has been created to resemble an iconic Dolce & Gabbana Bustier. Then lets talk a bit about the sunglasses I’m wearing… PRADA baby! I wasn’t sure about these…

Insta-Scoop: My week in Instagrams

Hey Guys! Hope you all had a fabulous weekend? The weather is definitely cooling down a bit, but still feels like Summer in Durban, so I’m still smiling! Speaking of Durban, this week I got to attend the Guess 30th Birthday event at their Gateway Store – what a lot of fun! If you got the Sunday Tribune this week you may have spotted me with the fabulous Chia Kougiano, editor of The Socialite, as well as the ever beautiful local designer Bianca Warren. To give you a weekly wrap, here are some Instagram snaps for you to enjoy! Oh and if you’re iCool, remember to follow me on Instagram stylescoopza. What did you guys get up to? Anything fun, interesting happening in your week?

The Weekend Wrap

The Weekend Wrap

This weekend was very chilled, and spent mostly indoors. With the doom and gloom weather of Durban, there wasn’t much to do. On Saturday, I (of course) watched the big Currie Cup game, where sadly my Sharkies lost to the Gauteng Lions. Yes I was upset, but in a way I’m glad the Lions won as they were the better team on the day. To show my support, I painted my nails in a Sharks design using Chanel Black Satin Nail Polish and my awesome Inglot nail art pen in number 29. The design was very striking and the black and white looks so good together. Who said you can’t support your team in style? There is really only one way to watch a rugby game (in my opinion at least) and that’s with a huge bowl of popcorn, good ‘ol South African biltong and Coke Zero. I know that most people do the whole beer and biltong thing, but I just haven’t acquired the taste for beer, and quite honestly, I’d rather spend the calories on chocolate. Did you know that 1 gram of alcohol contains 7 calories per gram? Fat on the other hand contains 9 calories per…

The Weekend Wrap

The Weekend Wrap

This weekend was perfect for catching up on some much needed chillin’ and working on my tan. On Saturday, I spent some time in the sun and watched the game. My Sharks vs the Cheetahs. Well, what a frustrating game! After Lambie missed the poles for the second time – Michalak also missed them in between – making it three missed kicks in a row, I eventually gave up my position in front of the TV to carry on enjoying the sunshine on a gorgeous summer’s day. It was scorching hot out and I’m finally starting to look like a Durbanite! Lots of Appletiser on hand to keep cool! Sunday was another BEA-utiful Durban day, spent out by the pool. In the afternoon we decided to take a drive down to the beachfront to check out Moyo on Ushaka Pier. A friend told me about it and how “you just have to go there for sundowner’s” and this Sunday seemed like the perfect afternoon to do just that. The position is perfect! It’s literally on the edge of the pier; a double story building with the most fabulous views of Durban’s buzzing beach front and the show stopping Moses Mabhida Spaceship…
